Motorcycle & Industry

The urgent prediction of the price of the new YZF-R7 announced by Yamaha. The price is expected to be lower than 550,000 pesos, although it was expected to be low only because the model is equipped with a parallel two-cylinder engine that differs from previous super sports.

Will it be launched with the increase from the base MT-07 within 90,000 pesos?

The Yamaha YZF-R7 is a full cowl version of the MT-07, a naked sport motorcycle that is being released as a new genre of supersports. If the R7 were to go on sale in the Philippines, we would expect the price to be around 499,000 pesos for the standard color, just barely below 500,000 pesos. The special version with white body and speed block color to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the motorcycle's participation in the World Grand Prix will cost around 599,000 pesos including tax.

The base MT-07 is priced at 459,000 pesos including tax, which is an increase of about 90,000 pesos, but the price is understandable considering that it is equipped with not only a full cowl but also special equipment such as front upside down forks, front brakes, front and rear tires, and a slipper clutch on the engine. If we look at prices in other countries, it is possible to set a price below 500,000 pesos. It is likely to be a vehicle that can be enjoyed in a wide range of activities from touring to circuit driving.

The new YZF-R7 is available in these blue and black standard colors. The price is expected to be around 549,000 pesos including tax.

The special color celebrating the 60th anniversary of the new YZF-R7's entry into the World Grand Prix is expected to cost around 599,000 pesos including tax. It will feature the speed block colors of yesteryear, commonly known as strobe colors.
