Suzuki Presents Joan Mir and Álex Rins with Titles at FIM MotoGP Awards Ceremony

First world champion in 20 years in anniversary year

Newly crowned Team Suzuki Ecstar champion Joan Mir and his teammate Álex Rins, who finished the year third in the championship, were honored with the FIM MotoGP Awards at the Algarve International Circuit after the final round of the 2020 MotoGP season in Portugal. Joan Mir and his teammate Álex Rins, who finished third in the annual standings, received their awards together with team manager Davide Brivio at the FIM MotoGP Awards Ceremony held at the Algarve International Circuit after the final round of the 2020 MotoGP season in Portugal.

Thanks to the brilliant performances of these two riders, Team SUZUKI Ecstar also won the team title on the GSX-RR. Davide Brivio received this prestigious award in recognition of his efforts on behalf of all the team members who have worked with him in the field throughout the season, as well as the staff at Suzuki's headquarters in Japan who have continued to develop the motorcycle.

In the year of Suzuki's 100th anniversary and 60th anniversary of its racing activities, Suzuki achieved the feat of winning the world championship for the first time in 20 years.
