MORIWAKI Full Exhaust CROSS TWIN BLACK – Mixed Experience (Overseas Rider)
I’m writing this review to share my real experience with the MORIWAKI Full Exhaust CROSS TWIN BLACK (01810-CG803-00) on a 2025 HONDA REBEL 1100 DCT S-EDITION.The exhaust itself is beautifully made.The finish, build quality, and overall design feel premium. Once installed and running properly, the sound is deep, refined, and perfectly matches the Rebel’s character. Visually, it also looks fantastic on the bike.However, the compatibility and support experience was very frustrating.Compatibility issue not stated clearlyMy OEM exhaust uses three O2 sensors, but this full system only has two O2 sensor ports. After installation, I immediately got an Engine Warning Light with error code P0141.Later, Webike/supplier explained that my bike is considered a European specification model, and this exhaust is only compatible with the Japan domestic spec (Model Type 8BL-SC87).The key problem is: this restriction was not clearly stated in the listing or in the manual. The product description simply says it fits Rebel 1100 / 1100T / 1100 S-Edition by model/year, with no warning about spec differences or O2 sensor mismatch.As a normal rider, I cannot realistically tell Japanese vs European spec.My motorcycle is a Hong Kong official-import unit made in Japan, so I had no awareness it would be classified as “European spec.” I’m not a professional technician, and I didn’t know I needed to check engine/frame codes to confirm spec compatibility. I also didn’t even know the bike had 3 O2 sensors until this happened. From a buyer’s point of view, relying on model/year fitment is completely reasonable.Extra cost to make it usableIn the end, my local bike shop confirmed they couldn’t “solve” the mismatch without extra work. The only way forward was modification (sensor delete / eliminator / ECU handling). I’ve now modified it and it works, but I had to pay unexpected extra costs that were never mentioned beforehand.Final thoughtsProduct quality & sound: excellentListing clarity & overseas compatibility warning: poorSupport / guidance for overseas specs: basically noneI’m not saying the exhaust is bad — it’s great when used on the correct JDM spec bike.But for overseas riders, please be careful and don’t assume model/year fitment is enough. I strongly hope Webike updates the listing to clearly highlight JDM-only compatibility and any required spec checks, so other customers don’t go through the same trouble.Would I recommend it?Only if you can confirm your bike is Japan domestic spec (8BL-SC87).Otherwise, expect warning lights and extra modification costs.
About quality and texture - The megaphone full exhaust from Moriwaki is made from stainless steel with a high polished finish, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - The megaphone full exhaust has everything going for it, with improved performance and an exhaust sound that compliments the single cylinder engine but my favourite part is the look from the style of the short muffler.Products to buy together - A key product to purchase to further improve the look of the Super Cub C125 would be a set of rear shocks that will also improve handling.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the megaphone full exhaust is a simple task that took 1 hour to complete. Some mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is what is required to secure the muffler to the frame and the exhaust pipe to the engine.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Moriwaki sell to be on par when compared to what most other companies sell their products for and I find the megaphone full exhaust is no different. About shipping and packaging - With there being a significant cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the megaphone full exhaust , I chose sea freight so I could put the saved money toward additional parts. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Webike Japan is the first place I look to for all my motorcycle needs. From service parts to performance products and even motorcycle gear and apparel, Webike always seem to satisfy my needs in regards to availability and pricing.View Detail
Der Versand aus Japan hat mit FedEx nur vier Tage gedauert. Der Auspuff selbst ist ausgezeichnete japanische Qualität. Drei Schrauben zum lösen des originalen Auspuff und drei für den Moriwaki Short Monster. Dieser hat so genau gepasst, dass er fast von alleine an meinen Super Cub dran war. Sound super ... Dumpf und kräftig aber ohne übertrieben zu sein. Passt gut zum Super Cub. Gefühlt etwas mehr Leistung aber Gas Annahme deutlich verbessert. Sieht sehr cool aus. The exhaust itself is excellent Japanese quality. Three screws to loosen the original exhaust and three for the Moriwaki Short Monster. This fit so precisely that it almost attached itself to my Super Cub.Sound great... dull and powerful but without being exaggerated. Fits well with the Super Cub. Feels like a little more power but throttle response has improved significantly.Looks very cool.
