Finally, as part of the Land Transport Office's (LTO) efforts to modernize and expedite plate distribution, the 2nd automated plate-making machine acquired by the LTO is now in service dedicated to the production of motorcycle license plates.
The machine can efficiently and systematically produce 450 motorcycle plates per hour, 3,600 per 8-hour shift, or 7,200 per day in 2 shifts. It can ramp up to a total of 158,400 motorcycle plates per month.
With the introduction of the motorcycle plate manufacturing machine, the issuance of license plates for motorcycles, which had been a problem in the past, will no longer be delayed.
I have to commend Asec. Galvante for this important initiative, Secretary Tugade said.
And as we produce, we will continue to distribute so that we can provide plates for all registered vehicles, Asec. Galvante explained.
