Hayabusa: R-11SqR, born on the racing scene, comes in left and right
The Tokyo Motorcycle Show booth displayed demo vehicles equipped with Yoshimura products, ranging from vehicles that Yoshimura has worked on in the past to new machines that are the talk of the town. As a constructor, the GSX-R1000R, which will compete in the All Japan Road Race Championship (JSB1000) and the FIM World Endurance Championship (EWC) this year, was unveiled on the stage. During the show, the company also announced its entry plan for the 2022 race and held a talk show.
And the demo vehicle for the new Hayabusa, which underwent its first full model change in 13 years in 2021, has many highlights, especially the R-11Sq R Cyclone, which is one of the first products (under development) to be developed as a two-piece silencer. The silencer, which was previously only available on the right side, is now also available on the left side, which gives a fresh impression. In addition, there were a number of products under development, such as steps and window armor (screen).

The "Slip-On HEPTA FORCE Cyclone" muffler for Hayabusa is already on the market, and the "Slip-On R-11SqR The "Slip-On R-11SqR" is a "square" shaped silencer for Hayabusa that incorporates the latest racing scene trend.

The R-11SqR Cyclone on the left, which will be unveiled for the first time, is rare. The silencer bracket will be sold separately (under development).
Racing Slider KIT "PRO SHIELD"
Beautiful slider with a streamlined shape that matches the styling of the Hayabusa. Self-lubricating machined POM reduces chassis damage when tipping over. Side cowl modification is also minimized during installation.
Yoshimura's uniquely shaped sliders originated with racers and were fed back to the street, where they have repeatedly evolved to be used by racers again.
Price: 35,200 yen (tax included).
Rearset KIT X-TREAD (under development)
The X-Tread series enhances the sense of oneness with the machine with its secure hold and high-performance bearings. Five positions are available for the Hayabusa, which is currently under development.
Wind Armor (under development)
A three-dimensional form is adopted in consideration of aerodynamics. It is compact and stylish, but ensures stable visibility with minimal deflection even at high speeds.

The "Tactical Cyclone," an up-type muffler for the CT125 Hunter Cub, caught the attention of visitors. The muffler is still in the prototype stage, but what is interesting about it, in addition to its design, is that it is a muffler that focuses on volume and sound quality.
Yoshimura has a strong image of racing activities, and many of its products pursue lightness and power, from Hayabusa to mini-moto class mufflers such as the Monkey 125, but this one is designed with popular outdoor scenes in mind, and is as loud as the factory sound at low rpm, such as when traveling near a campsite This product is designed for popular outdoor scenes. At high rpm for touring, the Yoshimura's unique sound can be tasted, and the peak power is designed to be higher than that of the factory.
It is truly a challenging concept that takes into account the usability of the rider, and as the name suggests, it is a "tactical" concept. This is a reference exhibit, but the company will consider whether or not to actually release the product, depending on the response, so we will definitely keep an eye on the future developments.
TACTICAL CYCLONE (reference exhibit)
Yoshimura, which has a strong image of sports mufflers, exhibited the "TACTICAL CYCLONE" as a reference exhibit, taking a different approach from the conventional "GP-MAGNUM Cyclone" muffler for Hunter Cubs.
The unique silencer shape is a new proposal designed with the intention of creating a rugged design that is conscious of the Hunter Cub's tough image and driving performance, which can be enjoyed both on and off the road.
Crankcase cover "PRO SHIELD" (under development)
Master Cylinder Cap (under development)
Monky125 "Yoshimura" silencer with raised 3D letters
The most eye-catching exhibit is the reference exhibit, a muffler that looks like a group of tubes. To take advantage of the beautiful matte black paint of the Straight Cyclone series, the "Yoshimura" logo is extruded on the silencer portion instead of a conventional plate. The machined aluminum case cover and "X-TREAD" steps match perfectly.
Like the Hunter Cub, the "PRO SHIELD" crankcase cover (under development) and master cylinder cap (under development) are newly developed for the Monkey 125. Rim sticker TYPE-A (price including tax: 4,180 yen) is also installed.

The Z1 also features a machined aluminum fork bracket, stem emblem, fork caps, side stand stoppers, and other parts that were carefully selected as reference exhibits.
The stem emblem (reference exhibit) has the letters YOSHIMURA.

Baby Face steps with Yoshimura side stand stoppers (reference exhibit).
The carburetor is a TMR-MJN38, priced from 235,400 yen (tax included).
This livery was first reproduced by Yoshimura in 1978, when AMA Superbikes were allowed to be fitted with collective tubes, and was ridden by Wes Cooley, who did not return home until October 2021. Mr. Cooley had also ridden on #34.
