There is no doubt that Japan has one of the best and unique custom parts and its culture in the motorcycle industry, but the language barrier has led to the closure of JDM motorcycle culture to the outside of Japan. Through this JCC contents, we present you one of a kind custom and mods bikes by professional craftmen and enthusiasts who just can't stop loving motorcycle.

Webike's Opinion

Here is a "HONDA APE100" custom by Webike community user "Miton". The 100cc model of the APE series, which is said by someone that horizontal engine Monkey has stood up vertically and become closer to human, so named "Ape". The Ape has been sold in Japan for 15 years, from 2002 to 2017, and while it is used in Japan as a commuter, it has also been used as a bike that is customized in various ways like a toy, mainly by young riders with abundant custom parts. The design is based on the XR80R and has many parts in common with the later XR100M.The APE presented in this article tends to look monotone and urban style at a quick glance, but it is cool that the intake and exhaust are also well customized, and the wheels, tyres, brakes are adopted from NSR50 stock parts for a strong awareness of driving as well. The small chassis with fat NSR50 tyres make it look more APE than regular APE with a cute BOBBER style!
