Hayabusa demo bike equipped with dual full exhaust system by YOSHIMURA! New bar ends and other parts are also a must-see!

Motorcycle & Industry

We had the chance to photograph the Hayabusa demo bike that YOSHIMURA displayed at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show. The focus of attention was the "Titanium Machine Bent R-11Sq R Cyclone Dual Exhaust" which is scheduled to release soon. A "Slip-On R-11Sq R-Cyclone" will also be available, and although it was not installed on the demo bike, the silencer has a similar look to the full exhaust. The demo bike was also equipped with the new "High Line Handlebar End", as well as a full range of other parts that have already been released.

Full view of the demo bike

Here are some photos taken at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show venue, where we were allowed to take special photos of the bike before it went out for display. This year, YOSHIMURA cooridinated it's bikes in black, and the Hayabusa, clad in a black exterior, was no exception. The parts installed were mainly black with red accents, and it is hard to believe that they are all bolt-on parts. The finished product is a great customization example, as expected from YOSHIMURA.

■This side view gives the impression that the bike is very "light" overall and the look of the full exhaust system brings out the sharp features that are characteristic of the Hayabusa. The merge collector is a 4-2-1, with the left and right sides separating immediately after the merge, and catalyzers installed on the left and right sides to meet both exhaust venting and emission regulations.

■On the other hand, when viewed diagonally from the rear, the image you get is completely different. You get the feel of a monster machine, with a massive body and the strength to push that body forward with full power. This might be due to the fact that the rear is slimmer so the mass is concentrated in the center of the body.

■When viewed from the opposite side, the upper surface of the tank is visible, giving off an even more powerful look. The volume of the first half of the body is strong and the appearance is both glamorous and impressive, which is surprising because it is made entirely from bolt-on parts.

■You can catch a glimpse of the merge collector from under the under cowl, confirming that a full exhaust system has been installed. Since this is a demo bike, the titanium color is brand new, but you can expect it to take on the heat-colored look that is characteristic of titanium once it's actually been riden and heated up. The heat guard for the shin area looks like it will be effective when starting after waiting at a stoplight, and you can see that there is plenty of leeway to bank.

Details on newly unveiled parts

The "Titanium Machine Bent R-11Sq R Cyclone Dual Exhaust" and "High Line Handlebar End" installed on the demo bike were unveiled for the first time.

■Close-up of the silencer end of the "Titanium Machine Bent R-11Sq R Cyclone Dual Exhaust", featuring a MotoGP-inspired mesh cover and a carbon cover. The fold of the carbon cover has a sharp look.

■Note the rivets on the silencer! These rivets are specially made with a design of six circular pressings on the flange. The rivets holding the nameplate and carbon cover are smaller in size, with black flanges.

■The mesh cover for the exhaust port is an exclusive product with the [YOSHIMURA](/brd/YOSHIMURA/854/) logo engraved on it. It is made of a thick material that is strong enough to protect against and prevent gravel from being sucked in if the bike goes off course at the racetrack. Additionally, you can see that the [YOSHIMURA](/brd/YOSHIMURA/854/) logo is also stamped on the exhaust port behind the mesh cover.

■The full view of the silencer shows that it has an oblong rectangular cross-sectional shape. The silencer cover is anodized in titanium blue.

■Viewed from the opposite side with less reflection, you can see that the cover part at the front end of the silencer has the same finish as the exhaust part, and only the silencer cover has a polished finish. Although difficult to see here, the carbon heat guard at the front of the silencer has the YOSHIMURA logo molded into the square recess on the side.

■The silencer bracket (silver part) riveted directly to the silencer cover is a high quality item that is combined with a small black bracket, and the bolts and washers are also black. A special "silencer bracket" that comes directly out of the seat rail is also scheduled for release.

■Close-up of the silencer end and mesh section on the opposite side. You can see that it protrudes slightly from the carbon cover. This might be to prevent the carbon from being burnt by an afterfire.

■Close-up of the "High Line Handlebar End". Machined aluminum bar ends are sold by various companies, but YOSHIMURA's "High Line Handlebar End" looks like it has a double-layered structure. The detailed functions, such as built-in weights, are yet unknown, but it is certain that the inner color can be seen through the holes on the bar ends. Perhaps only the outer circumference rotates in the event of a fall, preventing the handlebar from being damaged... or some other hidden function!?

Plethora of parts already on sale

In particular, the area around the handlebar is superb, and although the Hayabusa originally has a strong cockpit feel, the replacement of a few parts had a wonderful dress-up effect.

■The X-TREAD step kit has been very popular since its release. The secret to its popularity is the combination of the slate gray anodized aluminum color, reminiscent of gun coat paint, and the machined step bars, which boast excellent grip.

■The edges on the step bar of the X-TREAD step kit are so sharp they look like they'll cut your hand if you grab it. The heads of the bolts do not stick out, and the heel plate with the YOSHIMURA logo is made of thick material, so there should be no "bending" or other elements that make you feel uneasy even when riding hard. It is extremely practical.

■The rear stand bracket not only has a great dress-up effect, but the aluminum part visible from the front and the resin part inside are separate. When the stand is put out, the resin part spins independently, preventing scratches and allowing for ease of operation.

■The rear axle block is not only functional, but is also designed in a weight-reducing shape. The notches on the axle shafts and the shape of the block are even better matched than the stock parts.

■The handlebar and meter area gives off a tremendous cockpit feel. But actually, the only things that have been changed are the master cylinder caps and stem nut. The visual effect of the stem nut is amazing.

■While minimizing the overhang from the bike body, the aluminum and resin effectively protect the engine. This part should be installed even when driving on public roads, in case of an accidental fall.

■The oil filler cap is also a great accent piece. And take a look at the wiring treatment, including the ending of the wire. Isn't it just beautiful?

■Features a streamlined design to accommodate high speeds and is designed specifically for the Hayabusa to reduce cowl modifications.

■The PRO SHIELD racing slider kit is made of a combination of aluminum and resin. The specially shaped resin (POM) is machined, and if you look closely you can see the remnants of cutting marks.

■The YOSHIMURA logo is also engraved inside the slider (follow the yellow arrow).

■Lever guard with two-piece construction. Although originally designed to comply with race regulations, it is also a good idea to have it installed when participating in racetrack events.

■These rim stickers are also a niche favorite.

YOSHIMURA's standard fender eliminator kit. The tail section of the Hayabusa has a complex shape, so a simple kit made of bent aluminum plates would give a poor appearance, but YOSHIMURA's kit looks great, as you can see. Although the kit is very expensive, the bracket is machined from aluminum to ensure high rigidity and withstand high-speeds.

■While most other companies use thin acrylic, this "Wind Armor" is made of 2mm-thick polycarbonate. This may be to prevent cracks even if it is directly hit by bouncing rocks while riding at high speeds. The height of the windshield is 40mm higher than stock, so wind protection is improved without compromising the silhouette of the Hayabusa.
