OVERSEAS: Honda Unveils the Stylo160 in Indonesia! The Birth of a New PCX-type Fashion Scooter!

Motorcycle

Following the launch of the GIORNO+ (Giorno Plus) in Thailand in August 2023, a fashion scooter with a PCX-type liquid-cooled 4-valve eSP+ engine was launched in Indonesia.

The second fashion scooter not available in Japan

The only scooter that Honda has released in Japan that can be called a fashionable model is the 50cc Jorno, and in the moped 2 and 160cc classes, only the commuter and crossover ADV160. Overseas, however, highly fashionable models that seem to be aimed at female users are appearing on the market.

That is the Jorno+, launched in Thailand in 2023 in a neoclassical style to deliver enhanced status to customers with a different sense of value. The power unit uses the same liquid-cooled 4-valve 125cc eSP+ engine as the PCX and Lead 125.

In addition, the Stylo 160 (Stylo 160) debuted in Indonesia on February 2. This one uses the same eSP+ engine as the PCX160 with a 160cc displacement. It has an atmosphere similar to that of the Giorno+, but is designed in a unique style, and is characterized by a sense of luxury that is not found in the 125.

In addition, to match the enlarged engine, the Stylo 160's suspension has been strengthened from the Giorno+, and the rear brakes are discs as opposed to drums. The front and rear wheels are 12 inches for both Giorno+ and Stylo 160, but the rear tire on Stylo 160 has been widened from a 110 to a 130 size.

There is no information on the release of both Stylo 160 and Giorno+ in Japan, and it seems unlikely.
