This article introduces one MY BIKE submitted to Webike Community every week. The model introduced this time is HONDA "XL750 Transalp" and the owner is "moto".

The XL750 Transalp was introduced in 2022. The name "Transalp" was not the first time, but a revival of the dual-purpose style series for overseas markets that debuted in 1986. It was introduced in Japan in two displacements, XL600V and XL400V, with a V-twin engine and full cowl rally style that was very unique, but at that time the adventure category itself was not yet common, and in Japan, it was somewhat maniacal and its sales period was short. However, it was very popular overseas, and it continued to exist until 2012, with a series of model changes.

Now that adventure bikes have become more common, many riders seem to be attracted to the style of this versatile model with a rally-raiding atmosphere, and Webike has received numerous impressions of the Transalp. The Transalp was selected by moto for its ease of high-speed travel and its ability to handle rough terrain. The CRF1100L Africa Twin from Honda has a similar concept, but it is lighter and more compact than the Africa Twin (Africa Twin = 240 kg, Transalp = 208 kg), and it is easy to maneuver and highly maneuverable. It is also lighter and more compact than the Africa Twin (Africa Twin = 240 kg, Transalp = 208 kg), and it is easier to maneuver and more maneuverable than the Africa Twin, making it a popular choice for touring riders.

This is "Shu"'s Transalp. Hand guards, pannier cases, and bulky front side pipes are available as options to make it a tough traveler's spec.

MYBIKE COMMENT

Motive for purchase

I was looking for an adventure bike that was easy to travel fast and could still handle rough roads, and the Transalp was back! I felt that an Africa Twin would be too much for me, but I gave up my two 250cc bikes and went to the Dream Store because I thought I had found exactly what I was looking for in a lightweight and powerful bike.

Advantages

Riding performance as expected! It handles everything from high speeds to winding roads and rough terrain without a hitch. Even with the top case attached, I don't feel that it affects the feel of the controls. It handles well, so when I want to take a picture, I can go on a narrow road without hesitation, even though it is a large bike.

Disadvantages

Digital meters are the latest trend. Once you get used to it, it is no problem, but as an analog uncle, I am overwhelmed by the amount of information on the meter and the many buttons on the switch box. I am not happy with the fact that the outside temperature cannot be displayed despite such a large amount of information.
