Yamaha Motor has announced a new model of its 125cc scooter, the AXIS Z. There are no changes to the specifications or equipment, but the color lineup has been revamped. Instead of the previous blue and brown, new matte dark green and purple colors will be introduced.
It will be released on Thursday, October 24, 2024. The price will be $1984.27, a $20.98 increase from the previous price.
A fuel-efficient and easy-to-use standard 250cc scooter
The Axis Z, which Yamaha has been selling since 2017, is a commuter bike with a low fuel consumption of 51.9km/L (WMTC mode value) equipped with a BLUE CORE engine. In 2022, the engine will be made compliant with the 2020 emission regulations and will be powered up to 8.3PS/7000rpm. It is also equipped with a SMG (Smart Motor Generator) for smooth starting and a UBS (Unified Brake System) that links the front brake when the rear brake is applied, making it a more user-friendly commuter motorcycle. It is packed with highly practical features such as a front pocket, a convenience store hook, and a 37.5L under-seat storage.
The new model released this time has the same equipment and specifications, but the color variations have been changed. New matte dark green and purple have been introduced instead of the previous blue and brown. The traditional colors of black, gray, and white will continue to be available.
It will be released on Thursday, October 24, 2024. The price will be $1984.27, an increase of $23.07 from the previous $1961.20. Despite rising prices, the increase has been small, keeping it at an affordable price range for a practical motorcycle. Annual sales are planned to be 4,000 units.
Since its launch in 2017, the Axis Z has been popular as an easy-to-handle commuter motorcycle. The photo shows the new matte dark green color.
This is also a new color, purple. The previous blue and brown colors have been discontinued.
