[Webike New Item Info] The Exciting Comeback of the MORIWAKI ZERO GP Full Exhaust for CBR600RR!

News

The CBR600RR was discontinued in 2022 and reintroduced again in February 2024. It has been almost a year since its revival, and we expect that MORIWAKI will soon announce the “ZERO GP” full exhaust system for the CBR600RR with dual exhausts.

With the Philippines motorcycle market growing rapidly and performance upgrades gaining popularity, MORIWAKI “ZERO GP” full exhaust system is expected to be a game-changer for CBR600RR owners looking to enhance both their bike’s power and aesthetics.

"ZERO GP" became well known thanks to the success of MORIWAKI's MD211VF.

Before I start predicting the return of the "ZERO GP," let me explain a little about the "MD211VF" machine. MORIWAKI, which used to be active in MotoGP, achieved a remarkable 7 points in 7 races with the MD211VF, which was developed by MORIWAKI itself, even though it was a spot entry. Equipped with the 5-cylinder engine of the Honda RC211V, the MD211VF produced an output of more than 200 horsepower, which was unknown at the time.

MD211VF was entered by MORIWAKI Engineering in MotoGP for two years as a wild card entry, scoring 7 points in 7 races

It had a distinctive under-seat and right-side dual exhaust layout.

The exterior features include the cowl in the familiar white, blue, and yellow MORIWAKI colors, as well as the two oddly shaped exhaust systems protruding from the center and right sides. This was due to the fact that the V-type engine made it difficult to integrate the exhaust layout with a single right exhaust system. However, other than the engine, the motorcycle was almost entirely built from scratch, and the two exhaust systems were no exception. By showing its capabilities to the world, this exhaust system became well known.

MORIWAKI then released the ZERO GP Full Exhaust for the CBR1000RR and CBR600RR PC37 for public road use, a 4-2-1-2 layout based on feedback from the MD211VF. With the styling of the CBR1000RR and CBR600RR clearly reminiscent of Honda's MotoGP machine, the RC211V, it was inevitable that MORIWAKI would release the ZERO GP for public roads. Naturally, the ZERO GP was very popular among CBR owners at the time, and many riders loved using it.

CBR600RR continues to use center-up exhaust after revival

CBR600RR PC40, revived in 2024.

The CBR600RR is one of the most valuable vehicles that have kept the center-up exhaust style both before and after its revival. There are almost no motorcycles in the current runup that use a center-up exhaust, and the CBR600RR is now the only Honda vehicle that uses a center-up exhaust system. And most importantly, there is no JMCA certified "full exhaust system" for the current CBR600RR.

The CBR600RR was inundated with orders after it was announced that it would be discontinued, and of course, many riders jumped at the chance to buy one as soon as it was restored in 2024, since many were unable to. And CBR600RR owners must be thinking. "Is there a full exhaust system for public roads?

Therefore, the editorial board believes that ZERO GP will be revived again by MORIWAKI. And this time it will be this year. This is because there is a rumor that MORIWAKI will have a booth at this year's motorcycle show for the first time in more than 20 years. It is quite possible that MORIWAKI will launch the ZERO GP at that time. We cannot wait to see what MORIWAKI will do in the future.
