We had come to compare the new and old YZF-R25, the new YZF-R25 vs Ninja 250, and next, we will deliver a confrontation with a main performer CBR250RR. Although it is the latest model, it is understood that it is tough to counter CBR. But, It will be an unavoidable confrontation to see the directionality of the new R25.
First of all, in comparison in the straight, the new R25 could approach to CBR by using slip stream, but when it came out to the side, it is an impression that it is pushed by the wind pressure and could not overtake in front, and it was almost the same. In addition, CBR would be slightly above the mid-speed range.
Handling of CBR was a little hard. Because of the damping of the suspension, it felt like it bounced a bit due to the gap and the unevenness of the road surface. The new R25, on the other hand, was in good handling with damping and spring rate. It was not as hard as a racer to ride a circuit, but well-balanced. Also, the quality of the suspension was excellent. We usually felt the lack of performance of standard suspension when riding through the circuit, but the new R25 had not. This model has a good performace because it is a latest model.
Serious confrontation in the circuit with a 250cc model is also a plan for advanced people in a sense. But, Among them, it was surprising that the new R25 ran well. According to my predictions of Maruyama, the new R25 was supposed to come without breaking the stance of entry bikes for beginners. But, It was an easy-to-accept model for everyone that advanced users would understand. This is a big attraction, considering the price kept up to 30,000 yen in Japan.
After all, CBR250RR is fast, but the new YZF-R25 also shines!
The CBR250RR marked the fastest speed. And the lap time is also fast. But I think it is an admirable to have the 2 minutes and 2 seconds of the new YZF-R25. In case of Ninja250 and the old YZF-R25, there was a big difference compared to the CBR, but the new R25 was riding at a time close to the CBR. This is probably due to the fact that it has made steadfast handling.
The highest speed was the new R25 attacked last and marked 160.62km/h. Ninja has the impression that it would have been pulled to the same speed if the test it had no jump out of gear. jump out of gear. On the other hand, it was clear from the feeling while riding that lap time was faster with CBR than with Ninja. However, the new R25 has a lap time close to CBR. That's great that it would come up to this time by chassis change alone and the engine is as it is. And I was able to ride with the utmost confidence. If considering this poor Sentul Circuit as a winding road in Japan, the fact that the R25 was the easiest to ride was a point that can be evaluated even if it is replaced with a street. [Addition] Is there a dinosaur in a circuit in Indonesia??
It wasn't raining, so I could see the confrontation between the new R25 and the CBR with four full rides. But, At the end, I want to say. This test was very dangerous. Big lizard like a dinosaur on the course, two old women were weeding in the vicinity of the home straight at fastest speed, and dog crossing the course and children's gallery on the corner out side...... It was an on parade of happenings that could not be considered in the Japanese circuit! Nevertheless, I was desperately calming down and compared the new R25 and CBR in full riding ......
