“My beloved moto” [CB650R] Recommended 4-Cylinder Model in Middle Class!

Motorcycle Reviews

2019 HONDA CB650R
Owner's Nick Name: Tomo

We will introduce the 2019 CB650R that Tomo has been riding on from MY bike.

The CB650R is a middle class naked road sports released in March 2019. The CB650R belonged to the new CB series along with the CB250R and CB1000R, and is literally an intermediate model. The CB650R has been equipped with a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, in-line 4-cylinder engine which is the same type with the CB1000R. The beautiful exhaust pipes reminiscent of CB400FOUR is eye-catching.

Tomo purchased the CB650R as a step-up from the CB250R of the same series. It took 4 months to deliver the motorcycle because he ordered immediately after the release. It was a long time to wait. Congratulations! Needless to say, the CB650R has been powered up compared to the CB250R. It seems that he is satisfied that the balance at low speed is good and the handling is easy.

"The disadvantage is that, when I am riding for a long time, my bottom gets hurt (I am searching for the best position) and the fender design must improve."

There may be a possibility that he will change the fender to the fenderless in the future! Please enjoy the CB650R that was finally delivered! It has more power than a small motorcycle and is easier to handle than a liter bike. Such a middle class is likely to become increasingly popular!

Motivation for purchase / Purpose:
This year, I got a license for big motorcycle, and this model, which was released almost at the same time, was a HONDA four-cylinder, so I made a reservation without hesitation. The delivery date was 4 months waiting because it was after the debut of CB650R. The main usage is commuting and mini-touring around 100km on holidays.

Advantage:
Because of the step up from CB250R, the start dash is not comparable to 250. Even after shifting up at around 4000rpm from the start, the following vehicle gets smaller in the mirror. Whether mass concentration is effective, handling is easy, and the balance at low speed is also good.

Disadvantage:
My bottom gets hurt if riding for a long time. Currently, I am searching for an optimal riding position. The fender design must improve.

Advice / Recommendation:
I recommend this motorcycle if you are considering a 4-cylinder in the middle class. The exhaust construction can give you an enjoyment of a 4-cylinder sound. As handling is easy, I don't think of it as a big bike.
