Legendary CB750F OEM Parts is Back on Sale from HONDA!

Motorcycle & Industry

Last February 25, 2019, HONDA Motor Co., Ltd. conducted a press presentation "Continuing efforts to resale parts of old motorcycle parts", and the parts sales result of NSR250R and CB750 Four which was resold in 2017 and the other sales announced that it will start reselling parts of CB750F based on the request for deployment.

We will resell the ones that are not exchanged on the market!

It is a long-awaited parts resale for fans of CB750F. In 2017, parts of NSR 250R and CB 750 Fore were ordered and sold, but owner of other models which were looking on enviously at it should have been many. However, although Honda had originally started to make this project happy for fans, it is not going to be outsidated to profitability, but it is working with will as long as continuation of the project is possible. Therefore, it is inevitable that you can not ignore the CB750F, which currently has about 12,000 units registered, and reselling CB750F parts owner to enjoy it for a long time.

Choice of parts to be resold is also nice. For the items that are not genuine parts but substitutes will be postponed because they prioritize the parts that "it is simple but it can not be maintained without this". For example, parts such as head light case, throttle cable, valve spring retainer, etc. are supposed to make the same thing with aftermarket parts, accuracy is not shown, but it is cheap one, or it is accuracy as genuine as expected but it is not a price that can be purchased very much, It can be easily imagined that this will be the case. There is no other vehicle maker yet to sell products with reliable accuracy as genuine parts within the range of common sense.

To put it more precisely, there are 4 standards for selecting resale parts. First of all, those are "necessary for riding" and "many inquiries". And "highly productable", but what matters is that "it can not be replaced with a commercial item".

So, before introducing parts of CB750F, I would like to look back over the parts resale of NSR250R and CB750 Four.

In the case of NSR250R [Resale parts in 2017]

NSR250R was one of the pioneers of parts re-sale. It was resold for things that were not exchanged in exclusive design, such as F Brake Cylinder Sub ASSY, Various Cables, Clutch Spring, Carburetor Parts.

It is NSR250R which had a needs such as carburetor insulator. It was said that demand for resale was strong, especially as plastic products are difficult to repair if they deteriorate or break.

CB750Four [Resale parts in 2017]

In parts of CB750Four also resold in 2017, valve rocker arm B, piston (STD), drive sprocket R. fuel tank emblem and etc. were resold.

In case of the CB750Fore, Tank emblems on both sides seemed to be popular. Demand was large due to the exterior system.

What will be the future?

As parts are resold, the things that matter is availability. Based on the results of 2017, the following three were decided.

· "Add a new model" ... That means that this time CB750F

· NSR250R / CB750Four "Continued sales" of resale parts

· "Inventory sales" ... is that it is not order-only production

As a result of this, a feeling secure is brought to the owner. It would be sustainable for existing NSR250R and CB750Four owners. The thing that started as sales order will be the same inventory sales as CB750F this time. In other words, by doing this, deterrence against a senior like a so-called resale shop that aims at profit by buying it is also working, so that it is not necessary to rush and buy until needed. Continuous resale parts for NSR 250R and CB 750 Four are already in production, and sales will begin in March in order. For details please check HP from the end of the sentence.

The parts of CB750F to be resold are as follows

■ Connecting Rod Bolt [All Years] ■ Primary Chain [All Years] ■ Cam Chain A [All Years] ■ Camshaft Chain B [All Years] ■ Valve Outer Springs [All Years] ■ Valve Inner Springs [FB & FC] ■ Throttle Cable COMP.B [FB & FC] ■ Choke Cable COMP [FZ & FA] [FB & FC] ■ Throttle Cable COMP.A [FB & FC] ■ Clutch Plate COMP.B [All Years] ■ Meter Lower Cover [All Years] ■ Speedometer Cable ASSY. [FC] ■ Cable Adjusting Bolt [All Years] ■ Headlight Case [All Years ※ No Integra] ■ Side Cover Mark TYPE 1 [FC] ■ Side Cover Mark TYPE 2 [FC] ■ 12MM Axle Nut [All Years] ■ Fixing Nut [All Years]

The above 23 points are resaled parts. Production has started, and sales will begin in April and beyond. Like NSR250R and CB750Four, Please check details at the URL of end of the article.

It is an example of resale part of CB750F. Although it is a part that is easily broken by falling etc., it will be extremely difficult to obtain only this part.

This is a blinker switch ASSY [All Years] which is on sale. Degradation of these parts tends to be a source of concern for old motorcycle owners.

By the way, ... a bit funny story

Although All of CB750Four, NSR250R, CB750F belonging to the old motorcycle, there are parts that have been discontinued and some parts are on sale. Looking at the ratio to the total number of parts, the breakdown is like this.

· CB750Four [End of sale = 66% / Selling = 34%]

· NSR250R [End of sale = 82% / Selling = 18%]

· CB750F [End of sale = 59% / Selling = 41%]

Actually, this is not a simple story that inventory of the parts of each motorcycle remains but it is said that those surviving as common parts with other models are classified during sale (all are not so). In other words, like the NSR250R, the larger the percentage of sales finished parts, the more parts there are exclusively designed. Let's introduce an example of surviving parts below.

It is a tappet cover of CB750Four. This is said not only that it is being diverted as the same tappet cover to other models but also it survives as a drain plug nut of a super cub type engine. Moreover, it is surprising to say that the part number of CB750Four of that time is stamped as it is.

Tappet cover of CB 750 Four that survives 50 years. Please try looking by yourself which car models of Super Cub are adopted.
