Proposing a vision of the future of mobility beyond "Transfer Tool"
Yamaha Motor received the 2018 The Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers Tokai branch technical award for its achievements in "R & D of motorcycle autonomous control mechanism (MOTOROiD development)".
MOTORO iD is a concept model that aims at "personal mobility in which people and machines resonate." It was exhibited at the 45th Tokyo Motor Show 2017 and was well received. It implements advanced balance control applying intelligence and autonomous technology, and the machine senses its own state, gets up by moving the center of gravity, and remains in the untouched state.
In addition, it proposed a vision of the future of mobility beyond "Transfer tools", such as an HMI (Human-Machine Interface) function that shows the user's ability to recognize and walk in, and a reaction that responds to rider action.
