Ducati has announced the new Diavel 1260. It is scheduled to be released in Japan in June.
At the heart of the new "Diavel 1260" was a 1262 cc Ducati Testastratta DVT engine with variable cam timing.
The engine, already installed in XDiavel, has been well received, has been upgraded with a chain-type final transmission to optimize performance.
The engine also provided clean, high-class side views with high-quality finishes and was the highlight of the motorcycle in style.
An engine that meets all the needs of the rider
The L-type two-cylinder engine mounted on the "Diavel 1260" generates a maximum output of 159 ps (117 kW) / 9,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 129 Nm (13.1 kgm) / 7,500 rpm. Delivering powerful power from low to medium speeds, this excellent engine response meets all rider needs.
The variable timing system, which continuously controls the intake and exhaust camshafts, allows the engine to adjust power delivery depending on the riding situation. Therefore, smooth operation is realized in the low rotation range, and sporty characteristics are exhibited in the high rotation range.
In addition, the S version comes standard with the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up / Down EVO, which allows shifting without the use of a clutch.
The riding position, which received high praise from the first generation Diabel, and the unique ergonomics called "Power Cruiser" were inherited.
What has changed this time is the setup of the chassis. The new Diabel is equipped with a new eye-catching new steel trellis frame. The aluminum swing arm suspension frame provides excellent cornering performance, excellent riding feel and comfort.
There is no change to the 17-inch diameter rear wheel, which is equipped with the 240 mm wide tire that is characterized by the dial. The combination of this wheel with the new chassis set-up delivers excellent handling performance and lean angle while maintaining exceptional comfort.
