YOSHIMURA “Hand-bent Straight Cyclone Duplex Shooter for Z900RS / CAFE”

The goal of developing a straight exhaust system for public roads that corresponded to Z900RS / CAFE is to be based on "T-SPEC", which is the hand-bending straight exhaust system for the race but meeting the noise regulation to the current Japanese emmision while minimizing the decrease of power output. Some people may misunderstood it by being detuned.

No one should have negative impression after experiencing this exhaust that employs YOSHIMURA's unique new structure of providing an exhaust port in the sub silencer. This full exhaust system allows you to fully enjoy the exhilarating feeling that is different from STD.

Though, when I saw the data before the test ride, I thought the midrange may not be as good as the STD exhaust even though it has an excellent peak power. However, the actual machine equipped with the Duplex Shooter has a very linear response to throttle operation. Therefore, I could feel how powerful it is in any aspect, and the impressive acceleration of rev 30% higher than STD. Above all, the acceleration over 7000rpm is a masterpiece which made me think the model even has high camshaft installed.

Moreover, the sound of this full exhaust system is impressive. In case of the STD exhaust, sound quality is constant in the whole rev range, but on YOSHIMURA exhaust, the sound has an intonation. Heavy bass at low rev (the volume is lesser conservative than STD) and a snapping high pitch sound at mid to high rev.

Still, the most amazing feature of the Duplex Shooter is that there are no negative factors. Through this test ride, I was once again impressed by Yoshimura's technical capabilities.

You will feel more power than the actual power curve data

Matte black paint is a special coating with excellent heat and corrosion resistance. The review of actual riding was more powerful than STD in the whole rev range. The weight has been reduced by 2.4kg.

The biggest feature of the Duplex Shooter is its straight cyclone appearance that can be said to be twin exhaust system structurally by providing an exhaust port in the sub-silencer located near the collecting section. YOSHIMURA New Cyclone has achieved corresponding noise regulations while increasing power output.

“M” means the machined manufacturing method. The center part has been lightened by hollow processing. It has been developed with YOSHIMURA exhaust system. The fuel adjustment is necessary for installation. It is scheduled to be released in October.

Tail Tidy Kit (Price: 173.94 USD)

The tail tidy kit that makes clear around the rear. It includes LED license plate light and reflector with the logo of YOSHIMURA.

Frame Cap (Price: 39.49 USD)

Aluminum cap to fit into the frame holes to cover up exposed bolts and nuts. Set of 3 types of cap to plug a holes are all included in the product. The price is 131.51 USD.
