Ducati Announces the Launch of the New Monster in the Philippines

Motorcycle & Industry

Ducati Philippines has announced that the new fully redesigned 2021 Monster, which was announced last December and just started production on March 4, will be released in September.

The new Monster is a lightweight, compact, and essential sports motorcycle. It is thoroughly designed to be fun to ride and features easy handling performance, an extremely lightweight chassis, an agile and intuitive chassis, and state-of-the-art electronics.

The main selling point of the new Monster is that it is an ultra-lightweight motorcycle with a dry weight of 166 kg. Compared to the previous Monster 821, the new Monster 821 has increased displacement, power and torque, and reduced weight (-2.4 kg), helping to reduce the motorcycles's weight and improve its handling. 111 hp is produced by the Testastretta 11° engine.

While this may seem inferior to the current crop of motorcycles with over 200 hp, it is more than enough power for the practical range. In fact, riders who do not intend to do sports riding on the track may enjoy riding a motorcycle that is lighter and has a bit more power. In addition, advanced technology such as cornering ABS unit, Traction Control and wheelie control are standard features.
