HONDA NSR50 1999 Introduction | Reliving the Old Days of Honda Collection Hall

News

The Honda Collection Hall is a museum for four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles located in Twin Ring Motegi, Haga-gun, Tochigi Prefecture. It was opened in March 1998 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Honda Motor Company and to convey the spirit of Honda's origins to many visitors. In addition, the company is conducting a riding test to see if the motorcycle is actually performing well. A video of the test ride was taken to allow you to see many of the models in action. We've compiled those videos, broken down by age and displacement, into a feature. Your first motorcycle may be here. We invite you to relive the old days of your fascination with motorcycles and enjoy the motorcycle life again.

The mini replica bike, that performed brilliantly in the mini-bike race, had changed its color to HRC WORKS COLOR in 1997. Model 80 was an appealing bike that demonstrated 12 horsepower with the same chassis.

On January 21, 1999, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. released the '99 model of the Honda NSR50/80, a mini-sport bike that has been well received for its compact size, authentic equipment, design and riding performance, in the Repsol Honda colours of the NSR500 that won the 1998 Road Race World Grand Prix 500cc class championship.

Since its launch in June 1987, the NSR50/80 has been a popular road sports model, particularly among young people, as it offers a great deal of fun to ride. To commemorate Michael Doohan and the Honda NSR500's fifth consecutive championship win in the 500cc class of the Road Race World Grand Prix, the new NSR50/80 has been painted in the Repsol Honda colours of the works machine. In addition, Michael Doohan's signature is painted on the top of the fuel tank, giving the bike an even more racing-like appearance.

Only one colour, Jerez Blue Metallic (Repsol Honda colour), is available.
