The Honda Collection Hall is a museum for four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles located in Twin Ring Motegi, Haga-gun, Tochigi Prefecture. It was opened in March 1998 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Honda Motor Company and to convey the spirit of Honda's origins to many visitors. In addition, the company is conducting a riding test to see if the motorcycle is actually performing well. A video of the test ride was taken to allow you to see many of the models in action. We've compiled those videos, broken down by age and displacement, into a feature. Your first motorcycle may be here. We invite you to relive the old days of your fascination with motorcycles and enjoy the motorcycle life again.
Honda Little Cub 50 (1997) Introduction
Honda Collection Hall Test Ride Video of HONDA Little Cub 50 (1997)
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. launched the "Honda Little Cub" on August 8, 2012, a fashionable and compact moped bike based on the long-selling "Honda Super Cub" business motorcycle, which is used in 140 countries in Japan and overseas and has recorded a cumulative production volume of over 26.12 million units* since its launch in 1958.
The Little Cub is equipped with an air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine that excels in fuel economy, durability and quietness, and inherits the basic performance of the Super Cub, which has been well received for its ease of use, including a low-floor backbone frame that makes it easy to get on and off the bike, and an automatic centrifugal clutch that is easy to change.
By reducing the diameter of the front and rear tires (from 17 inches to 14 inches on the Super Cub), a lower seat height (from 0.735 meters to 0.705 meters on the Super Cub) has been achieved, improving not only footing but also ease of entry and exit and maneuverability.
In addition, the height of the rear carrier can be lowered by 30mm (compared to the Super Cub) due to the smaller diameter of the tires, making it easier to load and unload cargo, and by changing the position and height of the steps, side stand, kick pedal, and muffler, the minimum ground clearance and tilt angle during riding are secured.
In addition, the Little Cub is equipped with the popular "TUFFUP tube," which is highly effective in preventing punctures, as standard equipment, just like the Super Cub series, to reduce anxiety over the occurrence of punctures, and other usability considerations.
The design is based on the basic style of the Super Cub, but the shape of the handlebars, leg shields, front fender, seat, and rear carrier have been changed to make it more compact and friendly.
The new model is available in three colors: fashionable and bright two-tone (Spring Turf Green Metallic and Coconut White, Jolly Red and Coconut White), and the fearless Sparkling Silver Metallic with Moroccan Brown.
