HONDA DREAM50 1997 Introduction | Reliving the Old Days of Honda Collection Hall

Motorcycle & Industry

The Honda Collection Hall is a museum for four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles located in Twin Ring Motegi, Haga-gun, Tochigi Prefecture. It was opened in March 1998 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Honda Motor Company and to convey the spirit of Honda's origins to many visitors. In addition, the company is conducting a riding test to see if the motorcycle is actually performing well. A video of the test ride was taken to allow you to see many of the models in action. We've compiled those videos, broken down by age and displacement, into a feature. Your first motorcycle may be here. We invite you to relive the old days of your fascination with motorcycles and enjoy the motorcycle life again.

Honda DREAM50 (1997) Introduction

It was the replica model of the WGP machine, RC110, that surprised the world in the 60s. It was a fantastic 50cc bike equipped with a 4-valve DOHC head that brought the CR110 into the current world. Its appearance was also fascinating, such as its silver long tank and its single seat.

On February 28, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. launches the Honda Dream 50, a road sport bike equipped with the world's smallest mass-produced 50cc, DOHC, four-valve, single-cylinder engine in a style reminiscent of '60s racers, including a long fuel tank and a seat with a seat stopper.

The Dream 50 was exhibited as a reference model at the 31st Tokyo Motor Show in 1995, and was popular with a wide range of people, from teenagers looking for a unique style to adults in their 40s and 50s who are reminiscent of the 1960s.

The unique style is reminiscent of the Honda CR110 Cab Racing, a production racer launched in 1962 that competed in races in Japan and around the world.

The newly designed engine is a high-precision four-stroke, DOHC, four-valve, single-cylinder engine that is currently unmatched in the 50cc category, and the use of two megaphone mufflers gives it a mechanical and luxurious feel.
