HONDA CBR1000RR 2008 Introduction | Reliving the Old Days of Honda Collection Hall

Motorcycle & Industry

The Honda Collection Hall is a museum for four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles located in Twin Ring Motegi, Haga-gun, Tochigi Prefecture. It was opened in March 1998 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Honda Motor Company and to convey the spirit of Honda's origins to many visitors. In addition, the company is conducting a riding test to see if the motorcycle is actually performing well. A video of the test ride was taken to allow you to see many of the models in action. We've compiled those videos, broken down by age and displacement, into a feature. Your first motorcycle may be here. We invite you to relive the old days of your fascination with motorcycles and enjoy the motorcycle life again.

Honda CBR1000RR (2008) Introduction

Honda Collection Hall Test Ride Video of HONDA CBR1000RR (2008)

Honda has fully remodeled the CBR1000RR, a large supersport model equipped with a high-performance liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, inline 4-cylinder 1000cc engine that delivers both high environmental performance and athletic performance.

With "All the Best in Supersport" as its development keyword, the CBR1000RR adopts advanced technologies cultivated in MotoGP, the world's premier motorcycle road race, to achieve a high level of ease of use and power, while at the same time achieving an innovative and stylish design. The design is innovative and stylish. The weight of the new model has been reduced by 5 kg compared to the previous model by thoroughly reducing the weight of the engine and body.

In terms of styling, a compact form with improved aerodynamics and mass centralization to further improve the machine's performance has resulted in a design full of individuality, enhancing the pleasure of ownership. In addition, the main frame and swingarm are unified in black for a more intrepid image.

The engine itself is about 2.5 kg lighter and more compact, thanks to a smaller cylinder head and thoroughly lightened parts. In addition to the Programmed Dual Sequential Fuel Injection System (PGM-DSFI), an electronically controlled fuel injection system that has been used in previous models, the engine is equipped with a catalyzer in the exhaust pipe and muffler to comply with the 2007 domestic motorcycle emission regulations. In addition to the PGM-DSFI injection system, the exhaust pipe and catalyzer (catalyzer) in the muffler meet the 2007 domestic motorcycle emission regulations.

The newly developed, highly rigid and compact frame is used for the body. It is easy to handle and offers excellent handling stability for both city and sport riding.

A total of four color variations are available, including three standard colors and a tricolor inspired by the livery of the HRC works team that competes in the JSB1000 class of the All Japan Road Race Championship.
