Meet the newcomer to the Z family, built to amaze you. The new Z900 SE features exclusive equipment for a focused and refined riding experience: ÖHLINS S46 rear suspension, stainless steel brake lines, Brembo M4.32 calipers and Brembo front brake discs, and a special color scheme 'Metallic Spark Black / Candy Lime Green'.
For Z900 SE design, its Z900's signatures latest Evolution of Z Sugomi Styling (crouching stance, low-position head, upswept tail) has been retained, and its eye-pleasing styling has been further sharpened by numerous updates to its aggressive design.
The new LED headlamp, position lamp, license plate lamp and turn signal† have been adopted to achieve the sharp styling of the Z900. The newly developed all-digital TFT color meter creates a high-tech, high-grade cockpit. The new meter also includes additional functions that were not available in the previous model.
With two modes, "Full Power" and "Low Power", the power output can be set to suit the rider's preference and conditions. In the Low Power mode, the output can be reduced to about 55% of full power. By reducing the power that varies with the engine speed and throttle opening, the system improves the ease of handling.
The all-important Riding mode linked to KTRC and power mode allows riders to easily set traction control and power delivery according to the riding conditions. Riders can choose between three settings (Sport, Road and Rain) and a manual setting (Rider). In the manual rider mode, each system can be setup independently. KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) improves sport riding performance while providing peace of mind on low-traction surfaces. Three rider-selectable modes progressively increase the level of intrusion, depending on the riding conditions and rider preference.
For suspension, the large gold-colored inverted fork with improved adjustability is combined with an Ohlins S46 rear shock for improved ride comfort, excellent grip and handling. The rear suspension is also equipped with a remote preload adjuster for easy, tool-free adjustment of settings to suit pillion riding and luggage.
Moreover, the new front brake package with Brembo components provides more stopping power, precise control and ease of use. In addition to the ø300mm Brembo front disc and M4.32 radial mount monoblock caliper, the Nissin radial pump master cylinder with stainless steel braided lines provides high stopping power and linear movement when the brake lever is operated.
