Defective part (part name)
Motorcycle body (lower rear end panel)

The status of the structure, equipment or performance that is found to be in a state of nonconformity with the standards and the cause thereof
Due to the inappropriate shape of the lower rear end panel, the main wiring harness may come in contact with the panel due to riding vibrations. This may cause the film of the harness to break and the wiring in the harness to short-circuit, which in the worst case may result in the engine stopping while driving and not being able to be restarted, or may result in a fire.

Details of the improvement measures
On all vehicles, correct the routing of the main wiring harness and perform countermeasure processing on the lower rear end panel. In addition, inspect the main wiring harness for damage and make corrections as necessary.
