Accumulated sales of 290,000 units of the flagship model of the MT series in Europe! YAMAHA has made major changes to the MT-10 and MT-10 SP, the top models of the MT motorcycle series under the slogan "The Dark Side of Japan" in 2013, and announced the launch of the 2022 model.

The MT-10/SP is a street motorcycle powered by the cross-sectional parallel four-cylinder engine of Yamaha's flagship YZF-R1, featuring a more compact design than the MT-09, but with better power and handling than the MT-09. Instead of the single fisheye headlamp with the same design language as the MT-09/MT-07, the 2022 model has added a light guide bar design to the current model's double-eye structure, making it more aggressive.

The MT-10/SP is powered by a cross shaft parallel four-cylinder engine that not only passes the latest EURO 5 environmental standards, but also has a slightly increased maximum power of 165.9ps/11,500rpm and a maximum torque of 11.4kg-m/9,000rpm that lives up to the MT-10's claim to be the "Torque Master".

The brake master cylinder has been replaced with a direct-push master cylinder with independent oil cups made by Brembo, which makes the operation feel more direct and accurate. Variable speed limit system), this is a variable speed limiter that can set the maximum speed arbitrarily, such as highways, cities, etc., can be set according to the situation and speed limit, so that the speed does not exceed the specified value.

The MT-10/SP instrumentation features a new 4.2-inch full-color TFT screen and introduces the APSG throttle control system, which not only provides a more precise acceleration feel, but also allows the rider to set four power modes to be adjusted. EBM, SCS, LIF and BC are all standard, and the level of intervention can be selected individually, giving the rider the highest level of active safety protection while still enjoying intense driving fun.

The advanced MT-10 SP is equipped with Ohlins semi-active electric suspension system. In addition to the default three modes (A-1, A-2, A-3), the electric suspension can also be manually set to three modes (M-1, M-2, M-3), giving the rider up to six settings to choose from. The braking section also uses a stainless steel mesh metal fuel line to achieve a higher level of handling and more efficient braking force transmission.

On the exterior, the MT-10 SP is clad in its own black/blue paint with blue wheels and gold front and rear suspensions, and the three-piece fairing under the engine further enhances the MT-10 SP's competitive look.

Both the MT-10 and SP are expected to be available in Japan in the fall of 2022 (February 2022 for Europe / mid-year for the SP version), with suggested prices in North America of STD=13,999 and SP=US$16,899 (NTD 393,000 and 474,000 respectively).
