Honda announced the recall of 3 models of the Rebel 250, CRF250L/M, CRF250 RALLY, and CB250R, for a total of 5 models.
The recall is due to inadequate machining of the snap ring assembly groove on the main shaft for fixing the 5th gear and inadequate snap ring assembly jig. This may cause the 5th gear to shift during gear shifting, resulting in abnormal noise, and in the worst case, the rear wheel may lock.

Defective part (part name)
Power Transmission Unit (Main Shaft)
Structure, equipment or performance that is found to be non-conforming to the standards and its cause
Due to inadequate machining of the grooves for snap ring assembly and the snap ring assembly jig for fixing the 5th gear on the main shaft, some snap rings have a small margin for attachment. This may cause the fifth gear to shift during gear shifting, resulting in abnormal noise and, in the worst case, locking of the rear wheel.
