Following the recent announcement of the latest Adventure model, KTM Japan has announced the 2022 on-road models for the Japanese market. The lineup will consist of 8 models, centered on the naked sports DUKE series. A new model, the 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO, has also been added to the lineup and will grace the top end of the new DUKE series.
KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO

The 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO, positioned as the higher-end model of the 1290 SUPER DUKE R to be introduced in 2020, features a new suspension (next-generation WR APEX semi-active suspension) and electronic controls compared to the previous 1290 SUPER DUKE R. Three damping modes, "COMFORT," "STREET," and "SPORT," can now be selected to switch between road surface conditions and sport driving. The rear suspension also has an 11-step preload adjustment function from 0% to 100%.
The optional SUSPENSION PRO version adds three additional damping modes: TRACK, ADVANCED, and AUTO, as well as three automatic preload adjustment modes: LOW, STANDARD, and HIGH, and an anti-dive function. It is an option that allows the use of semi-active suspension.
