Airbag system to protect the rider's life from unforeseen circumstances
Airbag systems have attracted the attention of many riders since they became mandatory to wear in MotoGP and other racing scenes. Alpinestars has taken advantage of its cutting-edge technology and released the TechAir 5 airbag system specifically designed for street use.
The most important feature of this system is that it is completely independent.
When the power is turned on, information is sent to the ECU from six sensors, and if abnormal movement leading to a fall is detected, the airbag is instantly deployed by the force of two argon gas bottles equipped on the rear of the vehicle.
The airbags protect the rider's vulnerable areas: shoulders, upper arms, chest, flanks, entire back, and collarbone. Experiments have shown that airbags and spinal protectors reduce the impact of a crash by 95%.
Another feature is its lightweight comfort with an emphasis on breathability.
They are comfortable even when worn inside a jacket.
Alpinestars' goal is to provide the highest level of safety for all riders, from beginners to experienced veterans. The proliferation of Tech Air 5 will make that a reality.

Airbags protect the shoulders, upper arms, chest, flanks, back, and clavicle area; together with CE Level 1 spinal protectors, they reduce impact by up to 95%.
As long as there is a 4 cm space for the airbag to deploy, any jacket can be worn on top.
Units such as the ECU, which collects information from sensors, and the two argon gas cylinders used to deploy the airbags are housed in this unit.
The interior is made of a highly breathable lightweight mesh material. It is comfortable to wear and is structured to actively release hot air inside the jacket.
Bluetooth enables connection to smartphone apps.
The app can record battery level, system status, and driving.
Charge the battery by connecting a USB cable to the connector on the top of the unit.
It takes about 4 hours to fully charge the battery, and even 1 hour will run for 7-8 hours.
TechAir 5 is automatically energized and placed on standby when the front zipper is lifted and the magnetic flap is closed.
It's an easy and reliable way.
The LED display set in the lower part of the garment allows the user to check the airbag status and battery level. When the green LED is lit, it is in operation.
