The 2020 Ténéré 700, named after Yamaha's heritage Adventure series, is actually designed for off-road riding. The 2022 model is a minor change without major design or performance improvements and features a liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve, 2-cylinder 688cc engine with up to 73 PS. It is equipped with a 43mm-diameter inverted fork and a high minimum ground clearance, which allows for a high level of off-road performance. The large 16-liter fuel tank, which is typical of adventure models, ensures a long and reliable cruising range.

The engine meets emission regulations, while maximum output is up 1 PS from the model up to last year. Yet the chassis weight is unchanged at 205 kg, and it is likely to remain the same slim adventure machine it has been in the past. In addition, the new color scheme will be available in 3 colors: blue, red, and black, which evoke a sense of raciness and tradition.
