Kawasaki Postpones Introduction of Versys 650 in Japan

Motorcycle & Industry

Kawasaki Motors Japan has announced the postponement of the introduction of the VERSYS 650, which was scheduled to release in Japan this summer. The delay is due to prolonged delays in parts delivery and distribution, and no new launch date has been set.

Other conventional models have yet to return to supply levels.

Due to the worsening global situation and the shortage of semiconductors, all manufacturers continue to experience delays in the delivery and production of vehicles for sale. Kawasaki is also apologizing for the delay in delivery of the Versys and other motorcycles that are not in stock at authorized distributors. Naturally, the various new models that are not in stock will also require more time for delivery.

The highly anticipated middle adventure Versys 650

The Versys 650, released for the European market last November, is a new model with the latest modifications of various features from the previous model released in 2007. The Versys series has already established itself as a popular model in the 1000cc and 250/300cc displacement ranges, and the 650 is the first model to bear that name.

The Suzuki V-Strom 650 is already on sale in Japan, but expectations are high for the Versys 650, a middle-class adventure bike with a sporty silhouette inspired by the Ninja series, and with all-new electronic controls, a model choice that is not plentiful. We can only hope that the logistics situation will be calmed down and the supply shortage will be resolved as soon as possible.
