In this issue of Touring Diary, we feature a touring trip to Ise-Shima in Mie Prefecture by Bross, a resident of Nara Prefecture.
He said, "I want to schedule my tours as early as possible when I can, because it will be difficult to ride after the rainy season starts. The day was lightly overcast, so the lack of sunlight made it cooler."
Here is a report on the touring, connecting the Ise-Shima Skyline and Ise Pearl Road, and enjoying a delicious seafood bowl.
Gathering time is 7:00 a.m. at Hari Terrace. To avoid weekday commuting traffic jams, we set an early time for the meeting. Mr. H from Osaka came a little late because he had cut his hand with a knife last night while making a side dish for drinks and had a hard time stopping the swelling The temperature around Hari was low in the morning; the thermometer on the side of the road read 7 degrees Celsius.
Departing from Hari Terrace, we drove south on R369 ~ east on R165 ~ rest at Tsu ~ Nakasei Bypass ~ Nansei Bypass to reach Ise at once. We drove along the Ise-Shima Skyline and took a break at the observatory parking lot at the top of the mountain. The photo is the view from the observatory.
Today's menu is a sea bream & striped horse mackerel bowl. There were so many items on the menu that I was lost, but I chose the striped horse mackerel, which is rarely seen anywhere else. As expected, the fish was fresh and delicious. Miso soup is free.
