CBR250RRR(MC22)(249cc)
Owner: Ko-chan
From among MY Bikes posted on Webike Community, here is "Ko-chan"'s current motorcycle, CBR250RR (MC22).
The "CBR250RR" was introduced in 2017 and remains a huge hit as a high-end machine in the 250cc class. However, the first generation "CBR250RR" was a 4-cylinder sports model, and many people were knocked out by the sound and rev extension that only a 4-cylinder can provide, and it seems that "Ko-chan" introduced here is one of them.
The CBR250RR (MC22) was launched in 1990, a time when 4-cylinder engines were widely used in the 250cc class and their performance was becoming increasingly sophisticated. The CBR250RR was fully equipped with all the features of the larger-displacement models to compete with such rival models. The CBR250RR was a very popular model that offered both comfort and performance.
The most distinctive feature of the engine is the "cam gear train," which revs strongly and is unique in its class in its ability to blow up to 19,000 rpm with a characteristic mechanical noise. The aluminum frame that carries this equipment is also a luxurious one that achieves both lightweight and rigidity, and from today's viewpoint, it may seem too costly.
Ko-chan has had a "longing for this CBR250RR since he was 18 years old. The beloved motorcycle we finally got was a beautiful model with a bright original brushed pattern. As is the fate of sports models, many of them have been used hard, but to be able to enjoy the camshaft gear train in such a shiny condition is a blessing in disguise! Of course, by today's standards, some of the security parts are a bit dated (I hear the headlights are very dark!). But, if you have a love for it, maintenance and improvement are not hard!
This is Mal's CBR250RR. This one was purchased for a "love at first sight" motive! Indeed, the full cowl and two round eyes design has no rivals in the modern era. The same coloring as "Ko-chan" is matching with Honda's well-known tricolor brushed design such as CBR900RR (Fireblade). It is a design for a high-performance machine.
This is Taku's CBR250RR. This is the "Rothmans" color, familiar from the NSR250 and other models, which is only appropriate for Honda's sport machines. While the comment "How do we keep it up?" is quite poignant, we hope you'll take good care of it with all sorts of afterparts!
