Suzuki Saluto 125 2022 | Premium Design Scooter

Motorcycle & Industry

In early 2022, Suzuki will officially launch its new Saluto 125 2022 scooter in Taiwan which has created a trend in Thailand as ever. But until now, since the first version was released it has not been sold in any country at all except for Taiwan.

Suzuki Saluto 125 is the work of Italian designer Massimo Tartarini, so it's not surprising when we will see the aura of a European-style scooter in this model. And at the end of 2021, Suzuki Thailand brought the Saluto 125 to show itself at the Motor EXPO 2021 for us to see and created a lot of hype. Because many people want to have it in the market of Thailand as well, but until now there is no clear progress at all.

The specification of motorcycle has a 124cc engine with a bore x stroke of 52.5mm x 57.4mm, a maximum horsepower of 9.26 HP at 7,000 rpm, and a torque of 10 NM at 6,000 rpm. It will have a size of 100/90, worn on 10-inch alloy wheels, and the fuel tank capacity is 5.5 liters together, with the camp itself claiming the highest fuel economy rate at 62.21 km/liter, with a remote safety key. Provides a 5V 2A USB connector, the display screen is an LCD, the lighting system is a Full LED around the car, with a large storage compartment under the seat.

Part of it is expected to remain an important issue. In the market in other countries, other than Taiwan, at this time, the motorcycle has no plans for a production line anywhere else. And if it is imported from Taiwan the price is quite difficult to market. [The price that Taiwan sells is about 97,500 baht (approx. 149,000 PHP), but the price structure of Taiwan most of them is already higher than in other countries.] So, most likely, Suzuki will have a plan to produce this model in some other regions it might be produced in Indonesia, perhaps (because in Thailand seems there are a lot of people interested in Saluto 125 as well) and exported to other ASEAN countries without a tax looks like has the opportunity to make a broad market.
