Kawasaki has announced the release of the 2023 MEGURO K3.
The specifications, color, and model are the same as the 2022 model, but the MSRP is 1,353,000 yen [10,130 USD] (including tax), a 30,000 yen [approx. 225 USD] increase from the 1,320,000 yen [9,890 USD] (including tax) of the 2022 model.
The new model will be released on August 10, 2022 (Wednesday), and will be available at Kawasaki plazas nationwide.
Revival of the "MEGURO" brand, continuing the tradition
Kawasaki, which has taken over the brand of the long-established motorcycle manufacturer Meguro Seisakusho, founded in 1924, has revived its brand with the MEGURO K3, launched in 2020.
The model shares the same basic structure with the company's W800, but it has been modernized to resemble the MEGURO K2 of the past with exclusive equipment and a special paint scheme and is available in one color variation: Mirror-coated Black and Ebony.
In 2022, slight modifications were made to the specifications in order to comply with emission regulations.
The hand-colored, three-dimensional molded emblem follows the design from the Meguro Seisakusho era.
The five colors are precisely color-coded to create a unique retro look.
The two-tone tank, painted in a plating-like finish, is finished with a self-healing, high-lead-durable paint also used on the Ninja H2 and other models.
The simple twin-lens meter has a meter ring with a black oxide coating.
The "MEGURO" logo is displayed in a single point.
It uses the same air-cooled SOHC parallel twin-cylinder engine as the W800. It features a camshaft drive by bevel gears and delivers 52 PS at 6,500 rpm. The bevel gear cover has a red coloring with a single point.
