The XJR adds a hook to an otherwise excellent ride, making it more exciting and enjoyable to ride.
The XJR1300, which was sadly announced as being discontinued in 2017, is currently Yamaha's last air-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine-powered machine, and it continues to shine.
However, it is also true that it has not gained much momentum in the world of customization.
I think the final XJR1300 is a wonderful motorcycle, a complete machine. I wish more people knew that it is a fun machine to customize.
This is the opinion of Kazuki Ishizaka, representative of Samurai Garage. The company specializes in customizing Kawasaki vehicles, including the GPZ900R, but the potential of the XJR1300 as a custom base vehicle caught their attention. Mr. Ishizaka acquired the vehicle as his own personal vehicle and has been working on this machine.
I think the XJR1300 is highly complete in its standard form. That may be why it is so elegant and not as interesting as it should be. However, if you modify it, you can raise the fun of riding!
Mr. Ishizaka's idea was to utilize the potential of the vehicle body to bring out the fun of riding. The suspension was hardened, the rear ride height was raised, and other dimensions were renewed. The riding position was also completely revised. These modifications have resulted in a chassis that allows the rider to enjoy actively operating the machine, rather than letting the motorcycle do the work for them. Mr. Ishizaka wanted to give the motorcycle a unique riding feel, and it can be said that he has succeeded in achieving this goal.
Also fresh is the elegant monotone exterior. The color scheme was carefully chosen, and the outstanding appearance is also noteworthy. The base model was a learner's motorcycle, but it is so stylish that it is hard to believe that it was once a rough learner's motorcycle. It is a perfect example of how a machine can be drastically transformed if it is given the attention of an outstanding tuner.

[CUSTOM POINT] The stylish Nitron front fork with the silver outer tube and black fork bottom was made by Samurai Garage's color order service. Other colors are also available. Special wheel color kits are available for bolt-on installation.

The tank cap is made of machined aluminum by Rizoma, a company handled by Samurai Garage. A special key is included to open and close the cap, which is rare for an external product, although it is a simple type. Can be installed on many Yamaha models.

The seat is Samurai Garage's original "Dashing" seat. It is shaped to enhance holding performance. The seat surface is raised, but the corners of the seat have been reduced to improve leg room. The use of special urethane reduces fatigue during long-distance driving.

The blinkers are imported and sold by Samurai Garage, TRAF-X (Trafix) of Italy. These LED blinkers are compact in size and do not interfere with the styling, but are highly durable and waterproof.

An inner fender kit that dramatically increases the capacity of the XJR1300's small under-seat accessory compartment space is now available. Two types are available, one for FI models and the other for carburetors.

The cylinder head cover is painted with gray crystalline paint. By limiting the number of colors and unifying the color scheme, the texture of the machine can be enhanced. Changing the machine's image with color is one of the concepts of this machine.

The oil cooler is a Proto round type. The kit for the XJR1300 is used, but the fittings and hoses are changed to black and silver parts to unify the overall parts and colors.

The front brake master cylinders are Gale Speed. The reservoir tank is converted to a Rizoma machined aluminum product. The machine looks different just by changing the reservoir tank.

The front brake calipers are Brembo 484 type, and the rotors are Sunstar Premium Racing ø320mm. This system provides excellent stopping power as well as controllability.

The rear brakes are currently stock with stock calipers. Only the rotors were replaced with Gale Speed rotors.
The performance of the brakes can be improved by changing individual components, not by changing the entire system.

The rear shock is based on Nitron's Stealth Twin, modified by Samurai Garage's color order service. By changing some parts to silver, the image has changed dramatically.

Piega forged aluminum wheels from O-Z Racing are mounted. The white color was finished with an RX coat to match this machine. The chain size was downsized to 520 to reduce friction loss.
