Honda CBX by Remotion [Professional Custom Machine]

Impressed by the overseas scene, the dignified café style

The CBX (1000) uses an inline 6-cylinder engine, a rare engine type that has only been used in a few cases in the long history of motorcycles. Remotion, known for its CBX customization, created this machine.

The image was inspired by the café racer style seen in the overseas custom scene. The single seat, inverted front fork, and cantilevered swingarm emphasize the modern sports feel, while the spoked wheels give the bike a retro look. The overall configuration reflects the owner's wishes to the maximum extent possible, and the company's representative, Mr. Yokokawa, has put his skills to full use.

The front and rear suspension is basically a transplant from the Ducati 1098. The bracket supporting the front forks was an off-the-shelf product made by Ducati. When installing the extra-thick cantilevered swingarm, the seat rail was completely rebuilt, including the new rear shock mount. The single seat was also newly made. Both front and rear wheels are KINEO Ducati compatible, but there had never been a case of using KINEO wheels on a CBX before, so the detailed positioning was done by matching the wheels with the actual ones.

The distinctive 6-6 exhaust system is also a one-off product of the company. The carburetor was also overhauled and reset to achieve proper combustion efficiency.

The company's know-how was put to full use in determining how to match the diverted parts to the chassis. The result is a one-of-a-kind six-shot café that the owner is extremely satisfied with.

[Custom Point] The angle of the exhaust system is a particular concern of the owner, and he really wanted to keep it at the current angle. However, the side stand mounts were in the way. Therefore, the side stand mount and rear shock link receiver were removed and smoothed. A one-off side stand stay was relocated to the engine side, and a Ducati 1098 side stand was installed.

The separate-type steering wheel is by ZETA, and the digital meter is by Koso, creating a simple cockpit. The choice of these parts reflects the owner's wishes to a large extent.

The front fork and other front parts are basically Ducati 1098, but the bracket is a one-off Ducati 1098 made by the company to optimize the stance and increase the length of the body.

The fuel tank is actually a stock item. Initially, the owner wanted to remove the paint and make it clear to the base metal, but since it rusts easily, it was painted in a color close to the base metal to give it a metallic texture.

The rear shock mount had to be newly built, and the seat was a one-off from the seat rail to give it a café racer look. The wiring was also neatly processed.

The batteries in CBX and other 70's motorcycles were lead-acid batteries. In order to allow greater flexibility in installation, the battery was replaced with a lithium battery, which is smaller in size, and the regulator was also replaced with one of the company's compatible products.

The company offers a 6-6 stainless steel exhaust system on the market, but this exhaust system is a one-off made entirely of titanium, exclusively for this vehicle. The shape, angle, and other details were carefully selected to realize the owner's ideal shape.

The rear of the CBX is fitted with Kineo spoked wheels and a Ducati 1098 swingarm. Naturally, the CBX chainline is not a bolt-on, so minor modifications were made by the company.
