Evolved from the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show specifications to enhance overall quality
Kawasaki unveiled the Z900RS at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, and many of you may remember the custom Z900RS that was simultaneously displayed at the company's booth. In addition to that exhibit, another machine was built by Vito R&D using the same concept and similar parts.
The reason why we deliberately wrote "same type of parts" instead of "same parts" is because some parts are newly developed and some specifications have been changed. This is not a reproduction of the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show specifications, but rather the Z900RS Custom as proposed by Vito R&D as of 2019.
Emphasizes not only driving performance, but also practicality and a high quality appearance
So what is the company's proposal? At first glance, there is no doubt that the specifications are more sporty, with a titanium muffler, JB Power mag-forged wheels, and axle shafts all made of hollow chromoly. But that's not all. A rear carrier and thick Z1000R-style seat are also adopted. The customization also includes practical features that are sure to be useful for long tours.
The yellow balls, inspired by the air-cooled Z series, are also an element that is pleasing to the eye. The machined aluminum parts used in various parts are also a part of this. The vehicle is both pleasing to the eye and to the rider, and it also enhances the convenience of long tours while providing fun sports driving. This is exactly what VITO R&D proposes.

[Custom Point] There is no space under the seat of the Z900RS to store small items, making it difficult to load the bike. Therefore, the company made a rear carrier in consideration of the loadability when touring. This was done not only to enhance the sport performance of the Z900RS, but also to make it possible to use the high utility of the Z900RS anywhere and in any form.

The upper and under brackets are original to the company. The offset can be adjusted to change the handling characteristics according to the owner's preference, and is selectable between 35mm and 40mm.

The seat, which is molded into a raised shape on the tandem side, was machined by the company. 17 years ago, the surface skin was more similar to the air-cooled Z series, but now a dimpled shape is used. It is also possible to remove the anchorage and raise the seat.

The license plate holder is also a company original. The license plate holder is located at the rear end of the vehicle and is the part that is most affected by vibration. The shape of the holder was carefully selected to ensure a secure hold.

The machined aluminum engine hanger is also original to the company, although it was almost overlooked because it did not look out of place. It is now on sale for 185 USD.

The footpeg bar is foldable just like the factory one, which is the company's particular point. The range of position options is wide, with a total of 14 positions available. It is easy to optimize for each owner's physique and preferences.

The titanium full exhaust is also made by the company. The megaphone type exhaust system was designed to match the stock image, and the angle was set while taking the bank angle into consideration so as not to deviate too much from the stock image.

The wheels are JB Power Mag Forged JB4, 18 inches instead of 17 inches and 3.00 width instead of 3.50 width. Rear wheels are also 4.50" wide, in pursuit of the natural and sporty handling that is the company's forte.

When a 17-inch Z900RS is converted to 18-inch, the ride height inevitably rises. In order to lower the ride height to the same height as the 17-inch Z900RS, a new link plate was fabricated. The left and right sets are now on sale for 148 USD.

The rear brake calipers are AP Racing CP2696, which amplifies the image of the air-cooled Z series. The rear brake caliper is an AP Racing CP2696, which amplifies the image of the air-cooled Z series. The rear end of the swingarm has been replaced with the company's quick system.
