BMW R1250R Year 2023 Upgraded Engine and New Functions

Another model in the roadster line from BMW with the updated R1250R model year 2023, with more modern equipment along with engine upgrades that emphasize the balance between efficiency, stability, and fuel efficiency.

The BMW R1250R, the model year 2023, has a new engine upgrade, a 2-cylinder reclining engine with a capacity of 1,254cc. Equipped with a ShiftCam System or variable valve timing that will help balance the engine rpm and the speed of the motorcycle to be related. This is the same system used in BMW's larger engines like the R1250 GS and S1000RR. The engine produces a peak power of 136 hp at 7,250 rpm coupled with a peak torque of 143 Nm at 6,250 rpm per minute.

The motorcycle also comes with a state-of-the-art assistive system and electronic package. It includes Dynamic Traction Control, BMW Motorrad ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control,, and three standard riding modes: Road as standard, Sport, which unleashes maximum power, and Rain, which is used while riding on a wide surface. There are also optional packages that add two more riding modes: Dynamic mode which optimizes driving performance and user mode which can be customized by the user and various values ​​by yourself.

Updating the equipment on the motorcycle will mainly change the lighting system around the motorcycle to be LED, whether it is the main single headlamp that has DRL lights in the middle, the taillights, and turn signals are all LED. Optionally, the Adaptive Turning Light can be switched off by itself. After the turn-check system is over there is also an optional Solo Seat that will adjust the motorcycle to be more sporty than before. And also supports the heated seat for riding in cold climates. It is an optional add-on that costs a bit more.

Colorful digital TFT display screen provides complete details. Unfortunately, the new screen is not able to connect to a smartphone like other competitor models. One USB Type-A charging port is located on the side of the motorcycle. Brembo front brake caliper kits and updated ASC body stabilization system. And the last one is the emergency call system which detects a malfunction or a serious accident.

For 2023, the BMW R1250R will be available in three trim options: the standard version with Silver-Grey Metallic, the sport version with a Racing Blue Metallic body color, and a Diamond frame with white calipers. Gold front and rear brake calipers and black sports handlebars. The sporty Solo Seat and the Triple Black model come with Blackstorm Metallic paintwork, a black frame, and chrome accessories. Along with a special ECO riding mode that focuses on fuel efficiency.

The selling price will vary by country. As for the Thailand market, BMW Motorrad Thailand has not yet been officially imported into the market at this time.
