MOTOSALON's YZF-R6
Painted in matte black, MOTOSALON's YZF-R6 has a unique presence. This bike was designed primarily for use on the track and does not have any safety parts required for use on a legal street. They actively import and sell European-made supersports parts, and this bike also incorporates them so much. It was not customized with any major functional modifications such as engine tuning or suspension changes, but rather, it was designed with an emphasis on the balance of the stock condition. Therefore, there are not necessarily many customization parts, but the points required for sport riding were taken care of by changing the rearsets, adding adjusters, and modifying the exhaust (made by Bodice).
One of the features of the MOTOSALON's customization is the skillful use of color. As with other custom bikes built by them, this one, despite its matte black color, is not at all lacking in individuality, thanks to the careful use of color in the details of its parts. To prevent a monotonous appearance, the frame and swingarm are wrapped in carbon fiber, the blue radiator hose (manufactured by NEX Performance), while the levers and rearsets are highlighted in gold.
Bodyworks
Mirrors must be removed (or taped) for track use. The mirror block-offs (made by Valtar Moto) serve to block the mirror mounting points in that case. It's not only cover the mirror, but also hold the cowl in place. The windshield is made by Biondi.
The cowl is boldly painted in matte black, and a carbon cover is attached to the frame. Despite the black color scheme, the weave of the carbon fiber prevents the image from becoming monotonous.
Handle
The handlebar area is designed for precision and safety of operation. The foldable brake lever and the lever guard that prevents contact with the lever are made by Valter Moto. The grips are Domino, which MOTOSALON imported and sold.
Intake & Exhaust
The exhaust was changed to a German brand BODIS slip-on type with a different cross section. Not only is the change in characteristics and weight reduction, but also the unique shape improves individuality and provides a deeper bank.
Chassis
Sliders and engine covers are essential items for track use. The frame sliders are made by Valter Moto, and the engine cover is made by GB Racing.
The front brake rotor is a WRP wave type. Axle sliders (Valter Moto) are gold, and brake hoses (Motacc) are red.
The rearsets are Valter Moto type 2.5 . 9 or 6 positions can be selected, with a maximum relocation amount of 35mm both backward and upward. Shift stroke is shortened for quick shift changes.
A carbon cover can be attached to the swingarm, much like the frame. It works well for both dressing up and protecting against scratches from pebble strikes.
