Triumph has announced the launch of the 2023 Street Triple R and Street Triple RS models in the Street Triple 765 family. The redesigned models feature a significantly improved power unit, TFT display, and newly adopted electronic controls. Prices start at (approx.) 8150 USD for the Street Triple R and (approx.) 9925 USD for the Street Triple RS (depending on color).
The limited-production Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition was also announced at the same time. This upgraded model is based on the Street Triple RS and features additional circuit-ready specifications such as fully adjustable Ohlins suspension and new clip-on handlebars. Only 100 units will be sold in Japan. The price will be (approx.) 12925 USD.
The most powerful update in Street Triple history
The Street Triple R, introduced in 2008, is a street-fighter model characterized by its oddly shaped dual headlights.
When it was first released, it used a liquid-cooled DOHC 3-cylinder engine with a displacement of 675 cc. In 2017, the displacement was raised to 765 cc. The 2023 model year saw further improvements, bringing the Street Triple R to 120 PS and the RS & Moto2™ Edition to a class-leading 130 The RS and Moto2™ editions boast the most power in their class at 130 PS. The RS and Moto2™ editions boast the most power in their class. The gear ratios have also been revised to improve response and acceleration.
New electronic controls include cornering ABS and cornering traction control. Riding modes have also been upgraded with a dynamic new throttle map.
In terms of equipment, the new R is also state-of-the-art in terms of comfort and operational performance, thanks to overall updates such as a new riding position and a 5-inch TFT display (R has a multi-functional meter with TFT display).
Feedback from race engine development has resulted in increased power, torque and performance.
It also features a more imposing riding position, aggressive new styling, advanced electronic controls, and Triumph's signature attention to detail.
The new engine has been improved with a greater emphasis on performance than ever before. The compression ratio has been increased by 4.7%, and the pistons, connecting rods, and combustion chamber have been modified to significantly increase output. The gear ratios have also been changed to further improve responsiveness.
The TFT display has improved visibility and allows intuitive operation of the meter. The RS model has a 5-inch full-color display, while the R model has a multi-function meter with a TFT display. (*Image shows the meters used in the RS)

Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition, limited to 100 units in Japan
Based on the Street Triple RS, the Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition is the limited edition model with the closest potential to a Moto2 machine. It features official Moto2 logos and carbon fiber parts, along with unique clip-on handlebars and fully adjustable Ohlins forks. The front fork is a 43mm inverted big-piston fork, and the rear shock is equipped with a piggyback reservoir RSU to enhance its circuit riding potential. Note that this model will be produced in a limited edition of 765 units worldwide, and only 100 units will be available in Japan.
The top bridge is decorated with the Moto2 logo and serial number. The meter also features a special start-up screen.
Öhlins suspension is fully adjustable for preload, compression, and rebound. Pursues higher circuit performance than the standard model.
