Shabondama's Z900RS

"For a better riding." This is one of the concepts of "Shabondama SS (Street Special)" customization project. Specifically, internal engine parts such as camshaft and high-compression pistons are modified, as well as SE tuning (ECU adjustment), which has been popular among Kawasaki ZRX1200 DAEG owners.

Shabondama developed the original big radiator as part of its efforts to strengthen the drivetrain system. This Z900RS in the photo is an example of installation. Except for the exhaust and other parts that had been installed before the Z900RS arrived at the shop, the otherparts were selected and proposed by Shabondama. The new big radiator is one of them. It is compatible with the stock bracket and several exhaust system types. The stock radiator does not have a water temperature gauge, but this radiator has a sensor boss welded near the radiator cap so that a Yoshimura meter can be used to check the water temperature. The engine covers are machined by Wheelie, and the suspension is also by Ohlins & Brembo, which enhances both function and looks. Things of which this bike consist, including front forks, a swingarm, and a radiator can serve as an example that embraces increased power for those who wish to tune the engine on their Z900RS in the future.

Bodyworks

The Alcantara upholstery seat, along with the handlebar and footpegs, are parts that enhance the comfort of the rider. The tail cowl is an ARCHI long tail cowl.

Engine

As this picture shown, the original Shabondama big radiator for the Z900RS is twice as large as the stock radiator to increase heat dissipation. A water temperature sensor can be mounted behind the radiator cap for easy water temperature control. The shape of the radiator is also designed with consideration for the exhaust that can be installed at the same time.

The 948cc straight-4 engine, fuel injection, and tubular steel trellis frame are stock on this bike. However, the stem, which serves as the axle for the suspension, and the swingarm have been modified to be compatible with later power enhancements. The billet engine hangers made by Wheelie are one such modification, and the engine covers are also made by Wheelie.

Handle

Front master cylinder is Brembo RCS and clutch holder is KOHKEN. Handlebars are Hardy with an additional brace in the center. The carbon body mirrors are Magical Racing NK1 mirrors, type 6 head. The headlight bracket is the one included in the Wheelie stem kit.

The steering stem was changed to a Wheelie's Z900RS/Cafe Ohlins Triple Tree for Ø22.2mm handlebars to mount the Ohlins upside down front forks. A Yoshimura Progress Meter displays water temperature. The sensor is attached to a Shabondama Big Radiator.

Chassis

The coaxial petal type 3D steps are Wheelie's billet type for a direct feel of control. The frame is also equipped with a Wiley 3D frame pivot cover.

The front forks are Ohlins inverted and the front brakes are Brembo GP4-RX calipers + Sunstar premium racing discs.

The pillion steps were also replaced with a Wheelie 3D pillion steps kit and mounted with an Ohlins rear shock preload adjuster.

Swingarm is made by Wheelie and handmade of 7N01 aluminum figure of merit section material. A carbon rear fender and a chain guard are also installed.

The rear brakes are Brembo CNC P2 34 calipers with nickel coating and Sunstar premium racing discs, using the same high-quality parts. The wheels are Roto Box Carbon Bullet (3.50-17/6.00-17 size) with ultra-slim spokes made of carbon material.
