Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX /SX SE 2023 Model Enhances Touring Functions with New Auto High Beam [Milan Show 2022]

Motorcycle & Industry

Kawasaki unveiled the 2023 Ninja H2 SX /SX SE for the overseas market at the ongoing Milan Show 2022.
The newly adopted AHB (Auto High Beam) is a new feature that automatically adjusts the intensity of the headlight according to the brightness of the field of vision ahead, further enhancing the convenience of this flagship sports tourer from Kawasaki.

New "AHB" features state-of-the-art technology

The Ninja H2 SX is a sports tourer with 998cc displacement introduced in 2018 and based on the Ninja H2, which uses a supercharged parallel four-cylinder engine. The model change for the 2022 model year will equip it with Bosch's ARAS (Advanced Rider Assistance System) with radar functionality, the latest electronic control functions such as active cruise control and blind spot detection, a TFT LCD monitor for the meters, and the new model also features usability features such as the rider support application SPIN compatibility and Kawasaki's first Emergency Stop Signal.

And in addition to the latest features adopted in previous models, the 2023 model features a new AHB (Auto High Beam) function. A camera sensor detects the brightness of vehicles or streetlights in front of the vehicle and automatically turns the high beams on and off. This is a new feature that has begun to be adopted in some high-class models of four-wheeled vehicles, but there are few examples of its use in motorcycles.

The Ninja H2 SX SE, a higher-end variant model, was also released at the same time. This model is equipped with the KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension) Skyhook electronic suspension in addition to the standard equipment from the 2022 model year, enabling it to achieve a higher level of athletic performance.

The Ninja H2 SX will be available in one color, Metallic Diablo Black, and the Ninja H2 SX SE in three colors, Emerald Blazed Green, Metallic Diablo Black, and Metallic Graphite Gray.

The 2022 model year will be the first to feature the ARAS radar system. While the specifications for the 2023 model year have not yet been announced, the new AHB function has been added while maintaining the latest conventional equipment.

New for the 2023 model year is AHB (Auto High Beam). A camera sensor detects the amount of light in front of the vehicle and automatically switches the headlights between high and low. This is the latest feature that has begun to become common in four-wheeled vehicles. The system is activated when the lights are set to a high beam and the vehicle is traveling at a speed of 20 km/h or more at night.
