Top Gun Maverick was released in May 2022 and has been a huge hit. Motorcycle enthusiasts must have noticed the GPZ900R that appears in the movie. To our surprise, it was displayed at the Kawasaki booth at the Milano show.

Although there are many replicas, this one is the real thing.
Top Gun Maverick, which has been the top domestic live-action film since 2010, with a cumulative domestic box office of 13.16 billion yen (approx. 93235310 USD) by October 11, the 138th day after its release in May. Top Gun Maverick In the U.S., "Top Gun Maverick" was also a smash hit in the U.S., ranking 5th on the box office all-time list, and the numbers continue to grow.
This film is a sequel to 1986's Top Gun, and the GPZ900R "Ninja" that appeared 36 years ago appears in one scene in the new film. Many veterans must have felt the passage of time when they saw that the shiny Ninja of that time had become quite shabby.
The very same Ninja was on display at the Milano show, and riders who visited the show were able to see the actual motorcycle. This is a real car that was actually used in the Top Gun Maverick, and the 36 years of damage work on it is very realistic and cool. This could be a popular Ninja custom in the future!

Ninja on display. It is not known whether this vehicle is a GPZ900R or GPZ750R. It is said that the coloring was changed and the manufacturer and car name logos were removed because there was no cooperation between the movie producer and Kawasaki in 1986.

The new Top Gun Maverick was displayed along with the Ninja H2 Carbon, which appeared with the manufacturer's logo on the body, officially showing that the previous Ninja was also a Kawasaki model.

It is reasonable to assume that the Ninja that appeared in the film was based on the North American GPZ900R, given its up-handle and forward-mounted step. It is not the same vehicle as in 1986, but a newly created one with a new reaction.

The damaged work is superb, with stickers that are frayed and peeling at the edges, a damaged tank, and an exterior that has deteriorated due to ultraviolet rays, all of which beautifully express the passage of 36 years of time for the TOP GUN Maverick.

The Ninja H2 Carbon exhibited together with the H2R looks identical to the specifications in the film, with a muffler that appears to be for the H2R. This is also believed to be authentic.

As seen in this summer's hit film / You saw this summer's hit film, didn't you?" is Kawasaki's message. The fact that the top gun is not mentioned and the title logo instead reads PREPARE FOR TAKE-OFF is probably a copyright response.

The promised scene is still alive and well in Top Gun Maverick.
The work is just amazing the realistic feeling of being in a fighter plane.
