Yard Built gets a MotoGP Legends to build with Krugger Motorcycles
Over the past three years, Yamaha’s Yard Built program has gone from strength to strength, consistently working with the world's top custom builders to bring a fresh take on the motorcycle's sporting heritage series. The latest collaboration with Belgian builder Fred ‘Krugger’ Bertrand takes it to a whole new level with a spectacular layer of MotoGP history skillfully woven into a custom Yamaha SR400.
When Fred decided to collaborate with Yamaha on the Yard Built project, he took inspiration from his good friend and fellow Belgian, Bernard Ansiau. He is also the MotoGP mechanic for Valentino Rossi, considered by many to be the greatest rider of all time.
This role alone is enough to position Bernard as one of the most enviable mechanics, but his resume is littered with legends, having prepared racing machines for Yamaha greats like Wayne Rainey, Kenny Roberts, Randy Mamola, and Norick Abe.
