Honda has announced the release of the 2023 model of its large cruiser, the Rebel 500.
Changes from the previous model include compliance with the latest emission regulations and a new color scheme.
The「Mud Gray」「Blue Metallic」were added. The old colors will not be retained. The new model will go on sale on January 26, 2023, at a price of (approx.) 6025 USD.
Middle cruiser with light weight and excellent foot grounding
The Rebel 500 is a middle-class cruiser launched in 2017. It shares most of its body design and size with the Rebel 250 but is powered by a more powerful 471cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, in-line two-cylinder engine that shares its basic design with the CBR500R sports model engine. Minor changes for 2020 include full LEDs for the lights and an assisted slipper clutch. A shift indicator has also been added, strengthening the character of the easy-to-manage narrow body and powerful engine.
The 2023 model year announced this time is compliant with the latest Heisei 32 (2020) emission regulations, and there are no changes in equipment, etc. Two new colors, Pearl Deep Mud Gray and Matte Jeans Blue Metallic, have been added. There are no new colors added from the previous model. The new model will go on sale on January 26, 2023, at a price of (approx.) 6025 USD, a 265 USD increase over the previous model.
The 471cc liquid-cooled inline two-cylinder engine has a near-square bore x stroke ratio of 67.0 x 66.8 and produces 46 PS. From the previous model, it is compliant with the latest emission regulations.
At the Milan show this fall, the CL500, which shares some of its engine and frame with the Rebel 500, was unveiled.
However, the unique styling that comes from the low style and fat tire size is unique to the Rebel series.
