Yamaha Yard Built – VMAX Hypermodified by Marcus Walz

Customized Motorcycle

In garages around the world, Yamaha owners dream of building their own custom motorcycles. They seek to make these dreams come true by asking talented customizers to provide inspirational ideas on how to turn a modern Yamaha model into a「Yard Built」special. Many builders not only give Yamaha owners ideas but also make available custom parts and accessories to help owners realize their dreams.

Marcus bought his first bike, a Yamaha RD350LC, when he was 18 years old. He knows that Yamaha is unique. After quitting motocross in 1992 and after a serious accident, Marcus invested the proceeds from the sale of his machine in a series of tools and a bike lift. He set up a workshop in a converted barn and founded Walz Hardcore Cycles.

The German invented and developed the world-famous drag-style frame, a new kind of custom motorcycle.
As Europe's most successful bicycle builder, his work has appeared on 60 magazine covers and in over 600 magazine articles, and Marcus was the winner of the Discovery Channel's hit show, Bike Build-Off, in 2006. Walz Hardcore Cycles has retail stores throughout Europe selling bikes and apparel.
