MATSUI SPL.'s NSR250R
This NSR250 was entered in a custom motorcycle competition. The concept is a "modern version" of the NSR, as evidenced by the cowl shape and coloring, and the key was how to DIY modernity into the NSR250R, which had been discontinued more than 20 years prior to its production.
In keeping with this concept, Red Bull sponsor logos and Honda Racing logos are attached on the front and rear ends. The bodywork, which gives the bike a slightly futuristic feel, is based on the RS250R production racer, also made by Honda for the NSR250R. The seat cowl is also from the RS125R. The seat cowl is also from the RS125R, giving it a size and image that would not look out of place on the NSR, while at the same time incorporating the evolution that took place nearly 10 years later than on the NSR. The chassis is made from the MC28 (1994-99), the last model of the NSR250R, for the front forks, and the CBR1000RR (SC57) for the gauges, making full use of the stock components without any sense of retrofitting. The engine is a stock MC21 with Hulk Pro chambers, and the original flavor is maintained through regular maintenance.
Bodyworks
Normally, it is equipped with both headlights and mirrors. As a street bike, it is also equipped with a dashboard camera.
The crankcase reed valve 90 degree V2 engine is stock MC21, as is the transmission and carburetor. The aluminum twin-spar frame is also MC21 stock. On the other hand, the cowl is for the RS250R, and the seat and seat cowl are for the RS125R.
Electrical
The meter with an analog tachometer in the center and a multi-function digital LCD below is an OEM CBR1000RR (SC57). Behind it, the one-off RC valve indicator and throttle indicator can be seen. The handlebar is by Sansei Racing, and the top bridge is by T2 Racing.
Chassis
Front forks are of the successor MC28, Φ41mm, and front brake calipers are Nissin 4-piston, which are Honda OEM type. The master is made by Brembo.
Exhaust chamber is made by Harc Pro. The swingarm is stock, and the rear shock is from Ohlins. The rearsets kit is made by Battle Factory.
The gold-colored front and rear wheels are NSR250R SP (MC21) stock Magtech (U-section, 6-spoke, cast magnesium alloy), 3.00-17 for the front and 4.50-17 for the rear. The tires are Bridgestone R11 in 110/70-17 and 150/60R17. The drive chain is DID 520ERV3.
