Yamaha Motor has announced the 2023 model year of its supersport model YZF-R7 ABS. There are no changes in specifications or equipment, and the model has undergone a minor change with the addition of color variations. The new model will go on sale on February 28, 2023, at a price of (approx.) 8140 USD up (approx.) 425 USD from the previous model.
White presented in North American lands in Japan
The YZF-R7, which went on sale in Japan in February 2022, is a supersport model equipped with a 689cc liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine based on the MT-07. It is equipped with features that enhance its sport riding performance, such as an assist slipper clutch, inverted forks, and radial-mount calipers, but it is also easy to use on the street, which has made it popular.
The 2023 model year will feature the same specifications and equipment as the previous model year, with the addition of a new white color (Blueish White Pearl 1) to the lineup. This color is almost identical to the previously announced 2023 model for North America. The entire cowl is finished in gloss white, with grayed-out model name graphics on the side cowls. The accent color red (Vermilion) is used on some of the graphics and on the front and rear wheels, adding a bright, fresh image to the dark-colored lineup of the previous model. Of course, the existing "Black" and "Blue" models will continue to be sold, making a total lineup of three colors.
It will be released beginning on February 28, 2023 (Tuesday) at YSP and advanced dealers nationwide.
The price is the same for all colors at 1,054,900 yen, a 55,000 yen increase over the previous model.
