Honda has announced the 2023 model of its Dio110 moped scooter. In addition to an improved engine that complies with the latest emission regulations, there are no changes in equipment or specifications.
The new Dio110 Basic is a new variation of the Dio110 with a new color lineup, Matte Dim Gray Metallic. This model has a more affordable price than the standard model, with some specification changes.
Stylish new colors & basic model with shutter key revival launched
The Dio110, released in 2011, was introduced as an economical moped scooter with an air-cooled 107cc engine. Equipped with large-diameter 14-inch front and rear wheels, it was characterized by its high stability. In 2021, it underwent a full model change, with a larger displacement (109 cc), a revised frame design, and a smart key that allows the engine to be started without removing the key.
In addition to the conventional specifications, the new model introduced this time complies with the emission regulations (emission regulations for 2020) and is available in a new Matte Dim Gray Metallic color. In addition to the standard model, a further variation, Dio110 Basic, was also launched.
The Variant Dio110 Basic is a version of the standard Dio110 with a key cylinder with a common shutter instead of the smart key system installed in the standard Dio110. The selling price was set lower for this version, allowing customers to choose the model that best suits their needs. Three color schemes will be available: Pearl Jupiter Gray, Pearl Jasmine White, and Matte Galaxy Black Metallic.
Both the Dio110 and Dio110 Basic will be released on March 16 (Thursday).
The standard model will be priced at (approx.) 1920 USD, and the basic model will be priced at (approx.) 1655 USD, 265 USD less. The company plans to sell a total of 8,000 units per year.
The new Dio110 Basic omits the smart key system used in the standard model and instead has a basic key cylinder with a shutter.
The price has been made more affordable for this reason.
