Yamaha Motor Co. has announced the 2023 model of its middle supersport YZF-R3.
In addition to meeting the latest emission regulations, the front and rear blinkers have been changed to LEDs. In addition, a new purple color has replaced cyan in the existing lineup. The YZF-R3, released in 2015, is a middle-class supersport model with a displacement of 320 cc. It is a bored-up version of its sibling, the YZF-R25, and shares the same chassis size and equipment.
However, the engine delivers 42 PS at 10,750 rpm, has a different gear ratio setting, and uses radial tires. As the catchphrase "Supersport for Everyday Riding" suggests, this model combines high-dimensional driving performance and styling with ease of use in everyday life.
For the 2023 model year, the engine has been modified to comply with the latest emission regulations, but the engine specs are virtually unchanged. In terms of equipment, as with the limited WGP model released in 2022, LED blinkers are used on the front and rear, and this allows for full LED lighting. In addition, the quick shifter, which is sold as an optional part, can be adapted for customization to increase the potential of the motorcycle.
In addition, a new color, Purple, has replaced cyan in the coloring. "Blue" and "Black" will continue to be available, making a total of three colors in the lineup.
